Here's a nice, recent article on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series...

Jazeker! Bedankt voor de fantastische Photo Realistic ZoneĀ² mod! Geen S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl bedenkbaar zonder dat... ;-)
I agree. Steam really holds a monopoly on PC gaming, for the worst in my opinion. DRM is bad, no matter how people are trying to justify it. I got the GOG.com version of the game, but as a preservationist I also want a extra (sealed) retail version, containing the FULL, directly accessible game. People may remember the days when an internet connection wasn't even required. You just bought the game from a shop, installed it and played it. It's absolutely outrageous that you cannot even get retail packages without online requirements. People like us need to raise their voice because the mindless crowd doesn't seem to bother.
