Why?

I'll replay the whole mod from the start when Episode 3 comes out, perhaps I'll be able to paint a better picture of what's going on between the characters and their past.

Agree. And all these vague expressions and cryptic narrative don't do any good either. Tedious to listen. Hard to keep track of the story in detail.

If I remember correctly, the main character has a different name in the flashbacks. Or maybe it's a different character. Or it's not even flashbacks lol.

I feel like in the end there will be a crazy plot twist that I won't understand because I lost track of the characters and don't even know who is who. So many faceless names that intertwine with each other.

But these are minor inconveniences. I greatly enjoy this mod. Unbelievable maps, a lot of small and interesting details, new weapon balance, enemies etc. The team has done an outstanding job overall.

Idk why but I remember geX said that there will be 3+ episodes. I can be wrong though, it was somewhere in this comment section.

Just played ep.2 — not bad. Not gonna lie, there are some things that I disliked.

The story is becoming a bit annoying to me as we get more questions and mysteries than answers while more characters appear on the radar. It seems that the story haven't really progressed throughout ep.2.
Some hallucinations and flashbacks are a bit outstretched. Philosophical reasoning along with the drama of a little girl and her mother seemed overstuffed to me.
I really hope that ep.3 will give us more facts and interesting details of the plot and less hugger-mugger.

There are several areas on the maps where fps drops and it makes the gameplay a little unpleasant, instead of exploration I was trying to rush through these areas to get stable fps again. Still, I understand that these are probably engine limitations and nothing can be done.

However, good things prevail! The maps are great and I really enjoyed exploring them, finding secrets and solving puzzles.
Classic plasmagun sounds are awesome, Arachnotron is great (I even let him kill me the first time so I could take a good look at his model).
I saw a few nods to the original story (e.g. sgt.Kelly's note and a dead marine from Bravo squad). Hope there will be more of that (D3 marine cameo pls-pls-pls).
All in all, looking forward to ep.3! For now, I'll replay both episodes and check if I've missed some secrets =)
