Ah, I see. I was wondering if that was the case. I'll restart the mod on Normal, in that case.

I like the idea of the mod but you really need to tune the difficulty better. It's worse than CE legendary and I've been playing heroic. I die in about 3 seconds when I try and kill anything.

EDIT: Also the checkpoints need looking at, I keep losing way too much progress.

It should still work fine.

You can always just turn down your graphics settings.
But I find it hard to believe that your computer has difficulty running the source engine.

This issue is minor but still annoys me:
All combine models have been replaced with the Episode 2 models which is weird. The Ep2 models were designed to have mud on their boots and pants to represent the long distance they had been walking. So it doesn't make sense to use those models in the other games.

Some more bugs:
Ambient occlusion doesn't work right. For example, at the beginning of HL2 it lets you see through the train car. It also lets you see through certain fog, for example in the citadel in episode 1.
Alyx's pistol doesn't have recoil, and in episode 1 it doesn't use the new sound effect that it received (since Alyx fought more in Ep1, her pistol was given it's own unique sound in the original, but in Mmod it just uses the 9mm pistol sound like it does in the original hl2, regardless of episode).
Also not a bug but Alyx's pistol should drop a unique magazine imo.

Issues I've noticed so far (I played the missing bridge level I couldn't play before, Lost Coast, and some random other levels to test a couple of things).

-Gunships now take less rockets than before. 3 instead of 5.
-I know you fixed the strider issue, but in certain situations I kinda liked it before it was fixed. For example, when you first fight in front of the nexus, it felt better because it was a combined effort between you and the rebels. And when you last fight them before the citadel, that also felt good.
-Kill sounds seem to play regardless if I have them turned off (Only confirmed on Lost Coast).

It says "Added new sounds and particles for chopper, strider, dropship and gunship." But I can't really notice any? Are the sounds a separate file (in which case I'm fine with that as I prefer the originals). And also, are the particles subtle? It could be just that I can't really tell.

EDIT: BTW, it would help if you specified exactly what sounds have been changed, and what the particles look like, if you respond that is. Also I think I noticed strider sound effects for them walking around, but they sound like the original sound effects, and it sorta sounds like they were re-added rather than added.
