Start Episode 1

Shepard walks the empty hall of Atlantis. It had been towed out into the pacific where it can remain unseen by the public. The Colonel is part of a skeleton crew left in the city over the long 4th of July weekend. Even though the SGC was closed in favour of using Atlantis as the main connection to the Galaxy. It was decided because it not only has a DHD and 3 ZPM but it can also fire drones in defence. But on a long weekend like this, everyone's at home resting. They'll be back in the first beam in, in around 40 hours. Shepard hears something and looks up. A little yellow RC car turns the corner in front of him followed closely by Dr Rodney McKay.

“You up for a race” Rodney smiles “I went over to the main land to get some new brush-less motors and LiPos, wanted to test them out”

“Sure, why not things are a little slow at the moment, with everyone going home to visit theirs family and all”

“Ok, ready...” Rodney jumps the mark shooting off to an early lead

“Hey that's not fair” Shepard says as he darts off a second later

Half way through the race an alarm rings around the city. The cloak lowers and the shields raise automatically.

Shepard taps his eat piece “Control room this is Shepard, what's the situation”

Over the radio Chuck replies “Sir, something is happening, we are locked out of the mainframe. We have no control at all”

The whole city begins to rumble, and shake.

“Oh my god, the Star Drive. Shepard head to the control chair, ill get to the gate room, one of us has to try and shut it down” Rodney says, heading down the corridor, grabbing his car as he goes, with Shepard right behind him. The rumbling increases as the city takes off, Shepard and McKay are both thrown off there feet.

From outside it looks almost magical. A mysterious city suddenly appearing and then a strange bubble all of a sudden surrounds it. Then with a rush of wind, and a large blast of water vapour, the city rises up into the air, ten, fifteen metres up. Then one final blast of energy, sending a wave out in all directions, it rises rapidly up into the air, climbing quickly until it was in low orbit.

“Atlantis is the Colonel Ellis, please respond”. From Apollo's point of view, Atlantis begins to move off away from the atmosphere until a hyperspace window opens and the city quickly enters It.

Back in the recently closed down SGC, covers are coming off equipment, systems are being fired back up. Woolsey stands at the end of a table. Sitting at the table is General Hank Landry, General Jack Oniell, Colonel Ellis, Colonel Carter, and Colonel Caldwell.

“As of right now we don't know why Atlantis took off” Woolsey look at the Milky Way gate being re-installed into position.

“So what do we know?” Oniell looks around the room for an answer, eventually looking at Colonel Ellis.

“As of Zero, Eight hundred, Atlantis's cloak de-activates, followed closely by the shields being activated. By Zero, Eight, Oh-Five, Atlantis stopped responding to our attempts at communication. By Zero, Eight, Ten it had left Earth's orbit and entered hyperspace. Destination unknown.”

“Well I have looked at the information that we acquired just as Atlantis entered hyperspace, it appears to be headed back to the Pegasus Galaxy. With some more calculations I think I can work out exactly where, but it will take time” Colonel Carter adds

Oniell looks at Woolsey “Is there any reason you know of for them to return to Pegasus?”

“No, none that I know of”

“Fine, we'll consider this search and rescue for now. Under the assumption that they are headed for Pegasus, they have a decent lead on us, and they move faster than us, so I'm ordering Daedalus and Apollo to head for midway. We need Hammond and Sun Tsu to stay in orbit for now, since we have no defences without them, good luck and gods speed”

They stand and look at each other. Woolsey seems the most shaken up. He approaches Caldwell. “You wouldn't mind me tagging along for this. After all I still feel like its my city, and my responsibility”

Caldwell smiles, even though he had little respect for the IOA, he knows Woolsey is concerned for the city and the people left on it. “Sure, just keep out of the way if things get bad, after all we still don't know why the city left”

A hyperspace window opens above an unknown planet.

“McKay, where are we?” Shepard says trying to use the control chair, but its still not responding.

“Not sure, we are deferentially back in the Pegasus galaxy but ill need time to re-calibrate the system from our new position before we can dial Earth. Looks like were coming in over some large land mass. And were falling fast, I'm not sure if the city can survive this sort of impact”

“Well get me control back so I can land this thing in one piece”

Atlantis falls fast, but levels off as it approaches the ground. As it does, its course changes slightly, its now heading directly for a mountain range. As it passes over, so close that trees hit the lower side of the city, it reveals to them a large desert out in front. In the middle is one building, and just past that a fresh water lake. McKay taps desperately at his tablet, trying to gain some measure of control.

“Ok try it now”

Shepard closes his eyes, powers the chair and tries to manoeuvre the city. But nothing, the city just clears the top of the building and grazes the sand dunes before coming to rest in the middle of a large lake. The lake itself is or curious design. With a large desert on one side and scattered forests and tributaries on the the other, with crystal clear water. It is also deep. One would be mistaken for thinking it was one of the great lakes of Africa's Great Rift. But its not. As the city comes to a full rest. Shepard sits up from the chair. They're locked out of the city and there is nothing they can do about it.

McKay taps his ear piece “Shepard meet me in my lab. I'm going to leave the shield up for now until we can work out what's going on.”

Meanwhile at the destroyed midway station Daedalus and Apollo exit hyperspace. Colonel Ellis stand and looks out the window at the remains of the midway station. On the far side Daedalus is banking around and headed off to the left. He smiles and turns to his crew.

“Ok we'll wait here for final word from Colonel Carter on where Atlantis has gone. Until then I want everyone to do system wide checks. We night be in for a battle I want to be sure that we are ready for that”

On Daedalus Woolsey approaches Caldwell.

“Thank you for this. I know how you feel towards the IOA, but I assure you I will do my best to stay out of your way.”

Marks interrupts before Caldwell can reply “Sir detecting anorher ship exiting hyperspace”

Caldwell spins to look out the window. “The Sun Tsu, what the hell is it doing here.” he turns back to Marks, open a channel “Sun Tsu, this is Daedalus, why have you come here?”

A feminine voice echoes out of the speakers “We are here to help you. Our IOA delegate, Shen Xiaoyi, over ruled General Oniell and ordered us to follow and catch up to you here. “

“Hello Richard” a more familiar voice says

“Shen...” Richard says “No doubt you followed us to find Atlantis first and thus prove that you are better suited as its leader”

“What would give you that impression” Shen replies

“Well you don't like the long trips. So for you to be this far out, you must have some interest in this”

Marks console beeps, “Sirs we just received a sub-space transmission, we know where Atlantis is.”

Caldwell sits “This discussion will have to wait, here is where we expect to find Atlantis.” he turns off the coms and turns to Marks “plot us a course, but send the Chinese a slightly longer one. I want us to get there first”

Marks looks back at him. “Yes sir.” he then proceeds to press a few buttons before Apollo and Daedalus jump back into hyperspace followed closely by Sun Tsu.

“Ok, time for the how screwed we are report.” McKay says moving form computer to computer. Shepard just looks at him. Ok, so we are back in Pegasus, with very few people left, and no idea exactly where we are. From the surface scans, we've detected one building due east of here and its emitting an energy field of some description.”

“What sort of energy field?”

“I don't know, all I know is it covers the whole planet and reaches far out into space. It doesn't matter, we just need to find out where we are and dial Earth. Its been a week, they're probably worried. I've done an environmental analysis and from what I can tell the atmosphere is breathable so we can shut down the shield”

Shepard presses his ear piece “Chuck, lower the shield, were on our way up”

“Copy that sir, lowering the shield” Chucks voice enters Shepard's ear.

Through the window the shield can be seen lowering. But as it passes by everything in the room switches off. McKay looks at the computers confused “What the hell”

he races around checking everything, its all dead. Nothing will turn on. He looks at Shepard who presses his ear piece “Control room, you there.” nothing... “This is Shepard, anyone on the frequency?” nothing

“Ok now this is a problem” McKay says looking for something that works

Entering the control room McKay and Shepard find everything dead, even the Stargate. Shepard heads to the jumper bay while McKay check the ZPM room. The ZPMs look as if they are dead. The mechanism that holds them in place has released them and they are no longer glowing. A quick trip to the naquada generators finds them also inexplicably offline. The jumpers are also dead. Nothing electronic across all of Atlantis is working.

Re-entering the control room Shepard look over to chuck and the others frantically trying to restore power. “Don't bother, everything electronic is dead. Any reason why?”

“No sir, everything was in the green from what we could see until we lowered the shield, the energy field spiked violently and then everything went offline.” Chuck says looking worried, knowing they were essentially target practise for any ship that decides to turn up.

McKay enters and crosses the floor rapidly. “I bumped into Teyla on the way up. She's marshalling all the survivors in the infirmary area. There's a few bumps and bruises but that's about it. She's keeping them calm. Also the ZPMs and naquada generators are all dead. Not sure if they're fried but they're not putting out any power. And no I don't know why. I'm assuming it has something to do with that strange energy field.”

Shepard turns and looks out the window at the waters edge off in the distance “We need to shut it down. But how can we get over there?”

McKay smiles “I've been thinking about that. Back on Earth, as part of our study of the deep oceans, a few small boats were brought in and one of the outlying sections of the east pier was converted into sort of a dock. There should be one or two boats there we can use. But I'm not sure about how much fuel they have let alone if they are working, since everything else is dead. But I'm sure it'd be do-able.”

Shepard wonders where Mckay pulls these crazy ideas from and he warily replies “Ok, go check them out, we just need something to cross about 400 metres of water, not far. I think finding the facility in that desert will be the trick.”

Mckay smiles again “Not really, look at your compass”

Shepard glances down, its pointing to three o'clock, but is fluctuating in a pattern. “So?”

“So? Is that all you've got to say. All we need to do is follow the compass and it'll take use straight to the source of the issue. And once we've done that someone just needs to fly a jumper out and pick us up, easy as”

Shepard thinks for a second, trying to think of a better plan, and how the limited pieces he had can work together to fix this, “Ok go to the dock, ill meet you there with the supplies well need to pull this off. I Wish Ronan was here, he had to be off world with Teal'c, showing him round the Free Jaffa Nation didn't he.”

Mckay turns and begins to walk out, “Well you know those two, more happy 'sparing' than sitting around doing nothing. And with no Wraith to fight Ronan was getting a little jumpy, he needed to go off and relax and train for a few days.”

Down at the docks, Shepard walks in to see Mckay preparing a small dingy. He walks over to him “Is this the best you can do?”

“What the lift for the larger one is dead, this is its life raft. Best thing I could find that floats and has a working motor. I would prefer the larger one, who knows what's in this lake, with the larger one we wont be eaten by a whale or anything, but its not working so we forced to use this one.”

Shepard just frowns at the whale remark and looks at the larger one closely. It is a 30 footer, up on a hoist, designed to lower it down into the water. Rodney had put a small ladder on the side of it to salvage what he could. The dingy on the other hand was lucky to be 10 foot long, big enough for him, Mckay, and Teyla, as well as the supplies they'd need to survive a trip through the desert.

“Ok, well ill go get Teyla and the supplies. How far did you say this structure is from the coast?”

“About three days walk, and by days I mean nights, because it gets so hot out there in the day well cook. Well need to build shelter for the days and then we can travel at night.”

“Three days walk, at night, in a desert, with no electronics to guide us. Yeah this seems like one of your best plans ever Rodney”

“What do you expect, I'm just going with the hand I'm given”

“Fine, so well need shelter, water and food for three days in the desert, as well as space for you Teyla and myself... this'll be a walk in the park” Shepard rolls his eyes and walks out, headed back to the main tower to find Teyla.

Once he finds her, she and the others help bring the supplies down to the raft. It is quickly evident that there wont be enough space for everything in one trip, and with a limited amount of fuel Shepard decides that the best plan is three trips, at night, over two kilometres or so of water, in a 15 horse power boat. He check the amount of fuel they have, possibly enough for three trips, depending on wind and currents. This being a lake currents shouldn't be much of an issue and there hasn't been much wind all day so it looks like the might be able to do it. They wait until dark and light some fires on the end of all the piers so that Atlantis can be seen from a distance. Shepard sets out with Teyla and the first set of supplies. He leaves her at the beach and she lights a fire so that he can find his way back. The second trip is Mckay and some more supplies, with the heavier thermal tent, needed to protect them in the day being left till last.

On the final trip, about 100 metres off the shore the dingy runs out of fuel. Shepard grabs an ore and start to paddle but he's still not moving very fast, and the slight breeze is slowly blowing him south, away from the fire. He grabs the main guide rope, tied to the bow, and ties it around his waste, “I'm going to regret this” he says to himself and dives into the water. Paddling as hard as he can he bring the boat closer to shore. In the end he reaches land, just as he reaches exhaustion point. Teyla and Mckay run down to him.

Teyla gets there first looking worried she pulls him from the water“John, are you ok?”

Rodney arrives and look out, seeing the boat, he grabs it and with Teylas help they pull it to shore.

“We need to get moving” Shepard says struggling to his feet. He grabs the thermal tent and is about to put it on his back when Teyla grabs it. “No, let me take it for now, you need rest”

“I'm fine” he says “where's the rest of the stuff?”

“Just over this way” They head back down the beach to the other equipment. They carry as much as they can, to the point of Mckay bitching about how heavy it all is. And they set out.

Teyla leads the way, over the dunes, one by one, as they close in on there target. They getting closer now, they can see it from the tops of the higher sections of the dunes, but the trip has taken its toll. Mckay ate most of the food the first night, complaining about going hyperglycaemic, and Shepard's short swim, all though he'd never admit it had made him tired, slowing his pace considerably. But other than that they were making good time. They would arrive about half a day alter than they hoped, but once they're there they can take shelter and rest until Mckay disables the energy field.

Another day passes and they arrive at the facility. It deferentially looks ancient in design, very similar to one of Janus's labs from the outside. One trip round finds no obvious entry points.

“So, can you get us in?” Shepard asks Mckay

“I don't know, I can't see an obvious entry point, and the facility seems to have no power itself.”

“Fine ill make us a hole”

“You can't, we don't know what sort of effect it could have on the device and we don't know if it has defences, other than the energy bubble that is.”

“Ok, well look around, Teyla and I will set up the day shelter in a shaded area just encase u cant find a way in”

“Sure, sure, sure, but once we are inside I'm sure you'll forget this little trip soon enough”

“Rodney...”

“Ok I'm looking harder, there's got to be a panel around here somewhere”

He runs his hand along the wall light only by fire

“Ah found it” he says pulling an odd shaped panel from the wall. “These systems are definitely ancient. And they appear to have power. Interesting, this looks like a control circuit for a door but there's none heeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrreeeeee.....” (THUD)

As Mckay activates the crystal a section below him opens and he falls into a pit. But its not a put, its the main section of the facility. The rest has been covered by sand. The place itself is huge, about the size of the Taranis facility. Inside the lab area he'd fallen into Mckay found that nothing came to life. IT was as if the controls in the wall had power but nothing else did.

“Shepard, you up there?”

Shepard's head appears at the rim of the opening. “You ok down there?”

“Yeah I'm fine, I've fallen further before”

“Ok well were going to run out a rope and climb down to you.”

“Sure ill wait here, in the dark scary room all along”

Shepard lowers down the supplies and the tent, then finally Teyla. He then lowers himself down into the room. By this time Rodney is on his back trying to get one of the terminals to activate.

A day passes as they explore the facility. Looking for the source of the energy field. They come up empty handed. Little do they know the problems about to arise in high orbit above the planet. Two BC304s exit hyperspace and the systems begin to scramble, the Daedalus is the first to go dark followed closely by Apollo. About ten minutes later Sun Tsu exits hyperspace and seeing the other two disabled raises her shield just as the systems were about to go critical. Sun Tsu tries to contact the others with no response. There's no energy signatures coming from the ships. The commander is completely confused.

“Daedalus, Apollo, do you read?...static... Colonel Caldwell, Colonel Ellis please respond...”

On the other ships things were in worse shape. With all power gone there was no life support, and in a decaying orbit both ships could easily crash into the planet in only a few hours.

“What's going on?” Caldwell barks, looking right at Kavanagh.

“I don't know, the moment we exited hyperspace we detected an energy field surrounding the planet. Only a few moments later, the whole ship shut down, we've lost everything. Not even the 302s are working. Unless someone deactivated the energy field, were screwed”

On Apollo Colonel Ellis watches helplessly as Daedalus drifts slowly closer to the planet. With no power at all even the artificial gravity has shut down. He floats there trying to get things working again. Only to be told that there's nothing they can do.

On the planet Mckay finds a control room. As he enters things spring to life revealing the true purpose of the facility. “Shepard, I think I've found something”

Shepard enters and walks over to a terminal. On the screen ancient text is scrolling down. He looks at Mckay “So...”

“Well the structure is deferentially Lantian. And according to this some for of research was being done here. Experiments involving...” he pauses as a new screen appears”... oh my. This is the first Genesis device created by the Lantians in this galaxy, designed specifically to convert a potentially liveable world into a living breathing planet. But the machine malfunctioned and shorted out the whole facility. Unable to shut it down the Lantians were forced to abandon there technology and live like tribes for a while until rescue arrived.”

“What do you mean they couldn't shut it down”

“Well the energy field coming from the facility shut down all the power, sealing the lower sections where the magnetosphere work was being conducted. See, back in the milky way in order for the ancients to breath life into a planet they either bombarded it to warn it up and produce green house gasses or induced ice ages to cool things down. But they never gave life to planets that were originally dead. This is the first evidence of a Genesis Project. From what I can tell. The energy field is being emitted by a subterranean structures. The only way we can get down there will be to cut our way down. But since this room is shielded we might be able to use the communication systems to contact someone for help.

Almost as if on cue “Daedal.... ollo..... ou....d......well... colorne... repsond....” came out of Shepards radio.

“This is Colonel Shepard, does anyone out there read me?”

“Colonel Shepard? This is Sun Tsu, where are you? Why did you fly the city here?”

“We are at the source of the energy field. We're trying to shut it down but were not having much luck. Can you beam us down some cutting equipment?”

“Sure, but our shields are only just keeping out the signal at this range, moving closer will be very risky. DO you thing you can shut it down if we do?”

“Mckay thinks so”

“Yes I do, if I can gain access to the substructure and locate the power source then I should be able to shut it down”

“Ok well be in been down range in thirty seconds. Locking on to your locator beacons”

A bright light fills the room as a plasma cutter beams into the room.

“Thank you Sun Tsu, move back out into higher orbit, well message you once were finished”

Static

“Sun Tsu, do you read?” Shepard looks at Mckay, they grab the plasma cutter and head out of the room. Meeting Teyla in the hall they continue down to some of the lower levels.

They tack the magnetic disturbance into the lowest point of the facility. Once there they find a sealed room. The plasma cutter cant cut through the field. Mckay tries to access the terminal, nothing.

“Oh great now what. We cant cut in, and the field is starting to give me a head ache.” Mckay says looking over towards Teyla.

“What about this?” She says pointing to an air vent, “Would that lead inside?”

“It might” Mckay replies as Shepard makes short work of the panel covering it.

Shepard raises the face protector, and looks at the hole. It might be big enough for him to fit into, but it'd be a tight fit. Teyla looks at them both. “Let me, if I take the torch I might be able to cut through the door from the other side, letting you in.”

“No its to narrow, you might get stuck, let me go” Shepard says looking at the small passage

“Its fine, I have been in tighter places than this.” She puts on the face protector and then slides into the hole, plasma cutter in hand, crawling into the darkness.

A few metres down the tunnel split into three. One leaded up, one leading left and one leading right. She struggles right and reaches the vent leading into the room. She cuts through it in a few seconds and is free of her confined space. In the room itself, if you could call it that, was a round platform area. Around the outside wall is a few rows of Lantian terminals. And on the opposite side is the door, covered by a large amount or rocks and debris, A few skeletons also litter the ground, Lantians not fortunate to survive the cave in. But in the middle, from the small light of the terminals she could see a shaft disappearing deep into the planet. She makes her way round to the door and after a few minutes of moving rocks and dirt she gets to work with the plasma cutter, twenty minutes later Rodney and Shepard enter the room.

In orbit the Sun Tsu has moved back out of the energy field. Getting in as close as it did meant that some of the systems went offline, including Communications, weapons and life support. The shields were beginning to destabilise before they moved far enough back to game some measure of control. But the problems weren't over yet, the Daedalus was now getting close to the atmosphere and with the Apollo following close behind. If they couldn't regain control soon then they would impact the planet. It looked like it could happen any moment.

Down in the substructure Mckay is examining the main terminals readouts when something jumps out at him. “Oh that's not good” he says looking as if all hopes lost.

“What?” Teyla says standing next to him, Shepard is over looking down the hole

“According to this, this thing is powered by the mantle of the planet. The whole point of the device wasn't to create a powerful field, its trying to weaken the planet magnetic field. A planet with a magnetosphere of this magnitude would prevent complex life from being sustainable. So the Lantians were trying to weaken it, by generating an opposing force. The irony is that over time the counter force was meant to get weaker as the planets field weakens. But instead it only got stronger. Before the Lantians noticed it was to late and all the electronic systems began to shut down.”

“So how do we shut if off?” Shepard asks as he cracks a glow stick and drops it down the shaft, the glow stuck disappears into darkness.

“I don't know, its drawing its power from the planets core. We'd need a substantial explosion to destroy this facility.”

“Like all the C4 I brought?”

“No where near enough, even a small nuke wouldn't do it...” he clicks his fingers... “But we do have something that'd do the job. Something detonated deep enough the surface would never even notice.”

Teyla looks at him, “Like what”

“Well a gate buster probably wouldn't be enough, but Atlantis's hyperdrive, detonate that baby down there (pointing to the hole) and the field would most probably shut down. It'd mean we are stuck here, but after all we cant go anywhere till this fields shut down.”

“Well how are we meant to get it here?”

“Asgard beam... all we do is patch it into the main power of this device and then let it overload about 30 kilometre below the surface. There might be a blast wave but it'd be concentrated so deep that the only thing that'd be effected is the energy extraction piece of this device. Without that then the field should shut down.”

“Anything here look like a communication system?” Shepard says turning on other control terminals. One of them springs to life. IT shows two dots falling towards the atmosphere with the Lantian equivalent of danger flashing at the bottom of the screen. Mckay runs over. “What did you touch?” He says looking at the monitor. “Its the Daedalus and Apollo. It appears there main systems were shut down as well” He quickly presses a crystal “Sun Tsu, are you there....”

“We read you doctor”

“We need your help, please locate the primary hyperdrive for Atlantis and beam it over into the facility at our location”

“Are you sure? We would have to get even closer than last time. And we've only just got communication but up now”

“We need something with sufficient energy to destroy the energy converter. The only thing capable of doing that is a hyperdrive detonation. And if we want to save Daedalus and Apollo we need to do it quick.”

“Turn us around, take us in, fly towards Atlantis and beam the main drive into the buffer, use our momentum to get in range of the facility before we loose shields”

“Yes ma'am” the person sitting to her right says, pressing a few buttons.

It was going to take some fancy flying, to pick up the hyperdrive and drop it off before everything shut down. The energy field reduced the range of Asgard beam down to only a few kilometres, and they would also have to take a path that keeps them far enough away from the field to maintain systems but low enough down to beam the large hyperdrive into position.

The Sun Tsu sweeps in, systems beeping in disapproval all around the bridge. First thing to go was the Asgard weapons, followed by communications, then missiles and rail guns. They swooped over Atlantis beaming up the hyperdrive and reaching the co-ordinated of the drop of site just as shields began to fail, and the hyperdrive was beamed down. From there Sun Tsu began to rise before the sub light engines failed, followed by the shields. Her commander closed her eyes in silent prayer, they two were now at the mercy of the magnetic field.

Down above the hole Mckay slid out onto the balancing hyperdrive. He connected a terminal to it and then the main facilities power. He activates it, allowing it to reach semi-critical power levels before allowing Shepard to blow its supports, They hyperdrive falls down into the darkness. It'd take a full hour for it to fall as far as it needed to go. But that'd give Shepard, Mckay and Teyla time to clear the facility. They went out into the scorching heat of the day and they ran as far as they could. Over 5 rows of dunes, and they dug themselves into a dried out riverbed. Using the tent as a shield against the heat they waited.

In orbit heat begins to build up around the bow of Daedalus as Ellis watches helplessly as his ship follows. Caldwell has desperately floating around in engineering, getting people to try everything they can. Marks floats above Apollos fight control chain, frantically pressing buttons, trying to give life back to the ship.

Mckay looks at Shepard

“It could be any time now. The terminal was programmed to detonate once it reached a specific depth. But without a.....

The ground shakes and cracks, everyone looks up to see a single column of bright light blasting off into the upper atmosphere. Rodneys laptop beeps to life, Shepards watch alarm goes off...

Up in orbit with the last second revival of Daedalus and Apollo both ships power up and establish orbit. The Sun Tsu joins them. On Atlantis, everyone is out on the piers staring at the beam of light blasting up into the sky. Inside everything comes back to life, the city powers up and everything returns to normal.

“Shepard this is Daedalus, thanks for the save, Sun Tsu is filling us in on the basics, I can't wait for this briefing. That facility of yours appears to of collapsed into the ground. Do you need any help”

“Yes sir, if you don't mind beaming us back to Atlantis, I want to get out of this heat”

A bright light engulfs the team and then they, as well as Woolsey, Caldwell, Ellis and Shen, all beam into the gate room of Atlantis.

“Its good to be home” Woolsey sighs, reflecting all of the teams feelings.

“Yes sir it is” Shepard says smiling and they walk up the stair as a group, talking about what had just happened.

Mckay quickly darts over to one of the terminals. “Huh, thats odd.”

“What?” Woolsey says breaking from the group and walking over

“When Atlantis flew here it was being flown remotely, from somewhere in this galaxy. At least with the hyperdrive gone they cant move us again. But I suggest we stay here for now just to be safe”

“I Agree. Re-calibrate the gate, I think we should inform Earth of this...” Woolsey says as they head into the briefing room. Rodney pauses, “I just be a sec, I want to clean up first”

Ellis smiles “Good idea, you font look or smell to good”

Caldwell looks at Shepard “And neither do you, I think this briefing can wait an while, until we get some rest.”

The group splits, finding there own areas to look out on there new surroundings.
