i have read allot about German warfare in ww2 (im German myself). And i have to say the SS wasn´t that Elite. Without any Questions they were feared by the Allies, but not because of they Military training, more cause their high end Equipment, Loyalty and their will to fight until the bitter end. Surrendering wasn't an Option for most of them.
They weren't Trained Military Masterminds, but true Warriors without any fear or scruple.
