A nice total conversion of Doom 2, I'm glad that it appeared on this site though it was actually released for free a long time ago.

A good total conversion for Duke Nukem 3D with a fair amount of reworked weapons, maps, enemies, etc. (by the way, it uses materials from Doom 2, Heretic and other 2,5D-games, but it's alright because they look good enough when combined together here). The main drawback which may even stop some players completely is the puzzle system which is unintuitional and it's sometimes difficult to figure out what you have to do to advance in a game.

I feel that this game has a considerable potential, but there is much to be done. I liked the models and overall setting but the gameplay is far from being comfortable and satisfying. I haven't seen any changes besides health and power increase after levelups of my character and it's really difficult to find anything without a map. I hope that the game will be futher developed and will get to a state that can be called final version.

Another multiplayer shooter which often resembles Quake 3 but with a bit different weaponry, game modes and overall rules. In any case, this one is quite beautiful, well polished and has its own style. Not to mention it's free and open source. Maybe the game lacks something unusual or surprising but it's very well done and surely worth playing.

First, this game uses very common weapons and monsters models that we've already seen thousand times (I could name several such projects here on moddb, but you can easily find them yourslef, plus there are some I've seen not on moddb). Second, the game is hard to play, but it's not because it requires tactics or experience to master, or quick reflexes and sharp aim, etc., but just because monsters spawn quickly and constantly and they know exactly where the hero is even when they don't see him. In my opinion, it doesn't make the game challenging, it makes it ridiculous. I could have forgiven it if this was a work in progress, but the author says that it's a full version, well, than it will get what it deserves.
Besides, animation of monsters is quite annoying and I've only seen one type of monster model during 5 minutes playthrough. And finally, adding hunger and thirst parameters with nothing to eat or drink in a game world is just a mockery, if you ask me.
I had a strong wish to rate this with 1/10 but, naturally, some quantity of work was placed into this game, and it's also free so I rated it as you see. But I advice you not to play this game, it's a waste of time (and it's not a compliment, as one of the comments supposed).
Update: I'm glad that the author continues the development so I raised the rating to 5/10.

This mod pleased me greatly as I'm fond of huge weapon collections and abilty to carry a number of weapons simultaneously. Not to mention they are designed well enough here. And a chaingun with rocket launcher from Painkiller... I just can't find words to thank the author for that!
A varying replacement of monsters is another entertainment to perform at least several times with different settigns. And you can play it with almost any Doom based game you wish (for example, I played with this mod attached to HackX wad).
I've read some highly offensive reviews for this mod on other sites. Please don't take them seriously. This mod doesn't have its own plot or even maps but it's just what it is. And it's a nice mod, really. Just don't seek what is not present here. This one is for toying with an amount of weapons and enemies, not for honing Doom veteran player skills )))

This is a very nice game. Its basic idea about using squares of unexplored territory as a resource is really original, I've never met this before. The result is closer to a puzzle than to a roguelike but it's not that important. A basic graphic tileset could be better but I suppose it's possible to find some add-on depicted on the screenshots.

I'm really glad to meet a third-person action game with driveable vehicles, it's quite a rare occasion among indies. Naturally it resembles GTA series much but it was intended to, I suppose. Also notice that it's given for free ) The quality of this game is only medium, however, as I've encountered some bugs and issues spoiling the impression. I'll write my suggestions in the comments section.

Too bad we can't vote for this to be deleted from moddb and the author banned entirely.

That RPG Maker is sticking from every hole here. All those Japanese-like stilized figurines make me sick. And you are trying to gather money on Kickstarter for this?...
P.S. Naturally, dozens of games also are baked out of Rogue Maker and ask money for that. I'm just in a bad mood now.
