Is this comment a positive or negative comment. I think it means this is the best BF2 Mod ever!

Here are all the steps I took to make it work in case it can help others. I've never done BF2 mods before so I had to do a little research to figure out how to load mods at all.

1. Download the Mod. Extract the mod file (I used 7zip) to the BF mods folder. Mine was "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods"

2. After the extraction, My Mods folder had the following folders ...

BF2
BF1943 ( this is the new folder the other 2 were already there)
XPACK

3. I then went into BF1943 folder and made a copy of the "Play_DebugMode_windowed.bat file". I called my new file BF1943.bat. I then modified my BF1943.bat file so that it had the following commands

echo off
cd ..\..\
start bf2.exe +menu 1 +modPath mods/BF1943

4. I then made a shortcut to my Batch file and ran it. That made it work. The main thing to consider is that you are running the BF2.exe with parameters so that it loads the mods.

I absolutely love this mod. The sounds of the planes and the tracer fire affects are so cool.

If anyone can tell me what exactly I need to do to get the JAP tanks to be properly colored that would be awesome. I know that the instructions to do this are in the "!IMPORTANT SHADERS CACHE FIX! Read!" folder but I cannot figure out what it says to do.

I hope this helps someone and cannot wait to play others online.

One bug I did find was when I try to drop a jeep as commander it crashes out. Not important but just thought I would pass on.

I got the same thing. There is a batch file in the directory as well. I modified it to my preferences and it works great.

The internet is a series of tubes! Love the radio in the hangar. This is a fantastic mod. Love to play BF 1942. Had BF 1943 for a while on xbox. This is amazing. Thank you. Can't quite figure out what I need to do the kick off the shader optimization to make the japanese tanks correctly shaded. Thanks again cannot wait to play online with other players!
