Amnesia: A Coward's Debt

Mod review

The pacing and the new monster encounters were good!

I would have liked a more permanent light solution, but I guess being able to light any torch/candle ad infinitum makes up for it. Still, it was a bit too dark.

The story was interesting, but it does leave you with questions and makes you wonder. I think that we can only assume some events and their conclusions and if the ending is justified.

Bear in mind that I played the fixed version (1.2), so I had a bug-free experience.

Castle Dorian - [Full Version]

Mod review

It was short, as stated, but for what it was, it provided an awesome and chilling experience! Good atmosphere and execution.
I am only deducting one point for the grammar and spelling, though the synopsis and writing was ok.

The Things in the Night

Mod review

A masterpiece in both size, detail and quality. The author showed us some great talent in detailing the levels and creating a believable atmosphere.
In addition, notes abound in the Mod so it is easy to grasp everything that happened or is going to happen.
Even though oil was scarce and some parts required thorough searching, the gameplay was still very engaging.
The Mod almost never falls short throughout.
In conclusion, this Mod is a must play for any Amnesia player or even for a horror game enthusiast.
The work put into this project is tremendous!

I loved the first story (Emma's story) but this was even better!
Extremely engaging, very good storyline picking up from where the first left off and even better progression ideas.

I struggled a bit with the Oil but I am slow at exploring. Had just about enough usually. Plentiful tinderboxes though.

There were a lot of creative ideas (the dreamworlds) with their own unique appeal.

Very good level design, no doubt about that. Found some very small gaps in level geometry (some walls, outside ground).

The most important thing is that I never got bored while playing this story and wanted to see it through the end without that feeling of: "I hope there's not much left of it by now...". The story didn't feel neither too long and nor too short.

Perfect execution and scripting! The author did very well with this one!
Keep it up and don't stop!

Event Horizon

Mod review

This is a terrible "adventure"! It stands as a bad joke and it is a clear example for modders - what NOT to do. The notes you find are unacceptably illiterate and the "story" they tell made me laugh out hard.
Horrible level design where the walls and doors and pretty much everything else is not connected properly!
There are numerous holes in the geometry that let you enjoy a nice fall into the eternal abyss if you fall through one.
Flickering textures abound in every single room!
I was surprised the author knew how to connect key to door (even if I had a spare "Machine Key" in the end - yes, that is the only type of key you can find).
The loading areas are not connected to each other in any way.
I managed to trudge through this epic fail to the end where I was left on a platform with some floating trees around it, with a great chasm in geometry all around.
Author, never, ever make a Mod for any game out there especially not for Amnesia. :)
