Hello everyone. Jake here from Paperviper. Sadly, our last post made little difference but meh, we'll still somehow form a good team! Today I want to discuss the future goals and ideas of Paperviper. Our games, which platforms they'll access, and more. As you may or may not know, at the moment we have one game in the process all being programmed by me (named WAGAKKIWA) that is a Visual Novel, and will be free for play on the Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. I see that however as a stand point, a back-bone as to what Paperviper will shape to be in the future. You may not know it, but one of our goals is to create more Japanese-styled games for English audiences; it sounds stupid but there are a great amount of people who thirst for things like original English Visual Novels or more games that are JRPG instead of your average Medieval setting.

Our plans of game type is very large indeed. We don't want to make too many games at once, but I can assure you there is a lot. I can leak now that we already have pre-production plans for some games like Farm Town (that you may know of), and other's like a First-Person Horror/Puzzler, A true life simulation, and more. Our main goal is to be an indie game company that makes great games for all to enjoy, and that's what we intend to do. I can foresee right now though, that most of our games will be EPIC Visual Novels and RPGs. Maybe because it's our personal favorites.

Now that that is out of the way, I'd like to discuss the subject of platforms, and what we tend to do in that area. Right now, as I write this I am downloading Sony's PSM SDK (Playstation Mobile SDK). Why? I was thinking about what WAGAKKIWA would be like for the PlayStation^TMVita as well. When our team and capitol grows bigger, so will our reach. We would love to develop games for many consoles and platforms, but being the Director and Co-founder I can say our major interest is definitely in for the PlayStation^TMVita, OUYA, Android, and Windows 8 (of course, all of the popular computer Operation Systems as well). The reason being to that is they are all systems that very much so cater to our 'indie' needs, and we also want to be the group that makes the Vita a recognized and great console. It's lack of good games is what is making people not see it's true beauty, and Paperviper wants to change that.
