Served in the Resistance as a Captain of a local freedom fighter cell, he harbors deeply routed hatred for the Empires, whom he holds responsible for destroying his home village and killing his family.
After restoring the Federation, things looked well. He trained new recruits to be part of the new Federation military and was promoted to Commander. When the Sith and Mandalorians invaded, he was ready to fight but the orders never came.
Cardoon took his men into hiding, conducting small and petty resistance operations again with little hope of restoring freedom in the future.
He rarely wears his old armor and uses his old weapons that stem from the Clone Wars but upgraded, but Cardoon knows that he may use it once more in the future.
