Recently re-installed Soulstorm after many years and went straight to download Tyranid Mod and imagine my suprise when I noticed that there was a new version of the mod, which plays well and feels very feature complete.

Only issue that I have is that the Tyranid sound effects (screech etc.) are a lot louder than base game ones and desibels go through the roof when there's a lot of them late-game. Is there any kind of fix or tweak for this?

Let's be honest here, the GW or Relic are not going to care about this mod at all. The Dawn of War content has been ported around for years (OFP WH40k, Gmod workshop etc.) and they have not cared about it as it is not worth the hassle if no money is involved. The worst thing that they can do is send a DMCA to remove this mod from Moddb hosting.

Anyway, thank you for uploading this newest version. I missed the latest one before it was taken down.

Great job on the new release, love the balance changes and general tweaks! I've been playing the mod for months now and it even made my friends to re-install their own Dawn of War 1.

But can the IG Rough Riders finally be removed/replaced with something? They look so out of place when compared to other Guard units and the AI just loves to spam them, which has made it impossible for me to enjoy playing against IG AI as I'm getting swarmed by regiments of Steel Legion horses. Oh, and some of the EvaCadian's female Field Lieutenant models have old transparency issues (there is a fixed release around).

Other than that, keep up the good work!

I just downloaded the mod from mediafire and tested it both in-game and messed around in the editor for quite some time and everything seems to work fine other than that the zombies act like normal AI in the editor and a lot of stuff shown in the pictures is missing from this release like the new BSAA operators.

In short, it's pretty much the older MoW version ported into Assault Squad with some new missions. I must admit that I feel a bit disappointed in this release given the missing content shown in the pictures but it's nice to play the mod in Assault Squad which is enough for me.

The acting made me cringe at times which is expected from a non-commercial product but Chris's voice was actually pretty good.

Keep up the good work.

I personally don't see nothing morally wrong with ripping content from a 7 years old game which has been long abandoned by the creators. DICE isn't Bohemia Interactive, there's a ton of older battlefield content ripped to other games and they don't seem to care as long as their content isn't used commercially. Men of War modding community is also very minor so the mod won't probably be used by that many people.

After 1 year of complete silence you can pretty surely say that this mod is dead, though there have been rare cases where after years of silence some mods have suddenly resurfaced. We can only guess the cause for this, but I'm quite certain that after realizing how much time and work this would require and engine limitations (DoW engine has very poor pathfinding for example) they just didn't feel like working on the mod anymore. I originally registered to moddb just to say that I'm supporting this mod so it saddens me greatly to see what happened to it.

Anyway, this mod would had worked much better on GEM 2 engine (Men of War) after reading the gameplay plans and looking at the barricading system. It already has multiple zombie mods (some of which are dead) and quite a promising Resident Evil mod under production for Assault Squad. It also features very easy-to-use editor for creating custom maps and missions for your imagination to mess with. I would recommend people who are looking for an Zombie RTS to take a look at these mods and start supporting them.

Okay, I've been observing this fantastic mod since the early 2009, and I have no idea where these ungrateful or ignorant people with their bad english pop up from these days.

What you people have to understand, is that pwtool and his team are doing the best they can with this mod (making a RTS based on Survival Horror genre is admirable and very hard work), and like every person they have their own lifes to live (Studies, Work, Social Life), so they're not working on the mod all the time.

And as you can see from the newest screenies and videos, the mod has progressed massively since the beginning, but it's clearly not in the release condition yet (the whole alpha/beta "release date" was an estimated release date). Please, use your common sense.

Just have patience and let the team do their work. (Which, they've done well so far).

Hey, I've been observing this mod for a very long time, and I gotta say, that the work you've done is Amazing! I'm a big Resident Evil fan myself, so I'm waiting for this mod drooling. :P
I have couple of questions for you:

1. Have you pwtool finished that awesome looking Biohazard Control Officer? (If you have, I would like to see some content of her In-Game)

2. Could you release some November Unit (U.S.S) In-Game Video Footage? (There's a lack of it)

3. Will the first release include only U.B.C.S & BOW, and you will add the R.P.D in future releases?
