I had fun playing this game at first look.
It's pretty nice to see things like this being done by (3rd year was it?) students when you're just starting your first year of game development.
And thank you guys for being really approachable and professional. I could see how passionate you guys are.

Anyway, the reason for the gigantic firestorm behind the projectile is a result of huge amounts of kinetic energy being transferred to the air and into heat. The energy is so extremely high that the temperature rises high enough to generate flames.

True, if you play scrin right, they can be a little overpowered really. Just keep the enemy down with your supreme air units and base defences until you have about... I dunno, 20 walkers with shield upgrades :P

Not a lot of people have the guts to actually apologise, and acknowledge they were wrong. Respect for that.
And the homeworld patch thing: I'm no expert, but I'm guessing the server they use for the auto-patching is down b/c of age? (Find a manual patch! Googlez itz!)
