Are the Singleplayer Weapons stats vastly improved or are they still inferior like they were at launch? One thing I liked about Redux standalone is the powerful weapons for Singleplayer it made the enemies less bullet spongy on Infamous Redux difficulty it was perfectly balanced.

I'm not sure why my Suppressed Shotgun keeps missing at 10 feet/3.3 Yards. It should be a Instant kill at 10 feet on Infamous Redux Difficulty but it barely phases the enemies. I will shoot a NPC and they will get spooked and immediately they start shooting alerting everyone in the vicinity.

Ok that didn't change the stats like I thought it would. I copied the Redux Standalone 21_WeaponProperties.XML and 22_weapons.XML into R+R replacing the original .XMLs repacked everything but it did not improve the Weapon stats located in Upgrade Menu like it should have. :(

Every Shotgun including the Suppressed Shotgun should have a effective range of 30-40 Yards. It's either Buckshot or 00 Buckshot both of those Shells are great up to 30 Yards. I shot a NPC with the Suppressed Shotgun at 10 Feet in Pala and it barely phased the NPC at such close range with the Suppressed Shotgun. That is terrible.

I hate having to do it myself but the only other option I can think of is to copy your (Redux Standalone) weapon stats and paste them into Realism + Redux so that I can play Infamous Redux difficulty with your realistic (Redux Standalone) weapon stats.

I just hate having to do it manually myself because it's going to be a pain because I first have to install Redux Standalone copy the weapon stats then uninstall Redux Standalone and install Realism + Redux just to paste the Redux Standalone stats ontop of the Realism + Redux. That is the only workaround I can think of to get the best Realistic gameplay. I am not great with unpacking and repacking files but it seems like that is the only choice I have to get that Realistic gameplay I want.

Step 1: Install Far Cry 2 via Steam fresh unmodded copy
Step 2: Install Redux Standalone
Step 3: Install modding tools
Step 4: Unpack Redux Standalone files with Modding Tools
Step 5: Copy weapon stats from Redux Standalone

Step 6: Uninstall Far Cry 2 game and delete game folder/files

Step 7: Install Far Cry 2 again via Steam for fresh unmodded copy
Step 8: Install Realism + Redux
Step 9: install modding tools
Step 10: Unpack Realism + Redux files with Modding Tools
Step 11: Copy and Paste Redux Standalone weapon stats ontop of Realism + Redux
Step 12: Repack Realism + Redux files with Modding Tools

Play and enjoy on Infamous Redux with realistic Redux Standalone weapon stats.

Weapons that need to be retweaked for Global Damage in next update for Realism because this mod is suppose to be Realistic.

*MAC-10: should have the same Damage as the Star Model P both being chambered in .45 ACP.

*Uzi: Less Damage than both MAC-10 and Star Model P. Uzi is chambered in 9mm same as both the Makarov, Makarov SD and MP5SD6. 9mm does less damage than .45 ACP.

*G3KA4: Should do same Damage and Range as the FN FAL both are chambered in .308/7.62x51mm.

*FN Fal should be slightly more Accurate than G3KA4 because G3 is Full-Auto while the FN Fal is Semi-Auto it's easier to control over Full-Auto.

*AK-47: Should do less damage than the FN Fal and G3KA4 the AK-47 is chambered in 7.62x39.

*M16: Should do less Damage than the AK-47 the M16 being chambered in 5.56x45mm.

*Suppressed Shotgun: Increase Range and Damage to match Ithica or Spas 12. The Suppressor does add Range and tightens the pattern making it more accurate.

*AS50: Should be a Instant kill on both Player and NPCs no matter what. AS50 should also be distributed to all enemy NPC Snipers arsenal. AS50 should also Disable all vehicles with one shot forcing the vehicle to Smoke and shut down till the vehicle is repaired.

There are Pros and Cons with all Weapons and Ballistics and it's mostly all personal choice in what you are great with. Tap Firing really does help with Full-Auto weapons especially that MAC-10 that has a High Rate of Fire and AK-47 which also has a high Rate of Fire.

For the most part Every weapon needs their Damage increased for Realism of course for both the player and NPCs. Headshots are instant kill no matter the Caliber. Body shots no more than 4-5 shots depending on the weapon Caliber with 9mm possible 5-6 shots on body. Shots to the Legs/Feet should instantly down a NPC without killing them forcing them to crawl away and flee.

Would love to see a Bolt Action Barrett M99 Sniper Rifle added in a future version with the Muzzle Brake to help reduce muzzle rise with a working 4x-6x variable Magnification Scope that can be toggled with the burst fire button. Some of the original maps are huge and a Sniper Rifle would come in handy. Should be chambered in .50 BMG and should do roughly 900-1000 Damage output with a max ammo capacity of 20 rifle rounds. The ammo should be distributed in all maps from Doom 1, Doom 2, TNT Evilution and Plutonia Experiment. Best used on Barons of Hell and Bosses like Cyberdemon and Mastermind as a alternative to the BFG 9000. Reloading should be manual with the Reload button [R for Reload by default] with a reload speed of 10-12 seconds being a single shot bolt action. Be careful when reloading because you are defenseless while reloading. If you are using the Crosshair it should be pinpoint accurate while firing from the hip.

"Nope. Use secondary fire mode - deals huge damage." But why? a Direct rocket to Baron should do more or equal damage to the grenade launcher. Not sure why the Flamethrower works better on Barons of Hell over the Rocket Launcher. Shame you can't pick up flamethrower ammo without killing a Mancubus.

"BFG9000 kills every monsters," I have seen both a Baron of Hell and regular Arachnotron(Not the Mastermind) survive a direct BFG 9000 blast on Pandemonium difficulty it should have killed them both instantly or atleast the second shot on the Baron of Hell. I had to skip Fortress of Mystery(E2M9) because 4 Barons of Hell start in the same room as you on Fortress of Mystery and the BFG 9000 didn't phase the Barons of Hell on Pandemonium difficulty they destroyed me utterly no matter how I tried to approach it.

I play for the 100% so not getting every kill or having to skip certain levels is a huge let down and I hate myself if I use cheat codes because it doesn't feel genuine at the end screen with 100%.

Rocket Launcher needs to do more Damage especially against Barons of Hell it barely kills Barons of Hell.

BFG 9000 Damage and kill radius needs to also be Increased it should be a One Shot Kill on every enemy except for the Spider Mastermind and Cyberdemon bosses.

E4M2: Perfect Hatred needs to be Reworked. Too many Barons of Hell with 3000 Hit Points and not enough ammo and weapons to deal with them. It's Impossible to beat.

Fix the map Tricks and Traps. There is no way to beat Tricks and Traps on Doom 2 without a BFG 9000 and with the amount of ******** you have to deal with on Tricks and Traps you need a ******* BFG 9000 not a worthless *** Soul Cube that doesn't do jack monkey **** against nothing. Replace the Soul Cube in Tricks and Traps with the GOD WEAPON known as The BIG ******* GUN 9000. The Ultimate weapon is the BFG 9000 not the pussy *** Soul Cube.

Pros:
*Damage.
Shotguns should be Overpowered on any difficult It's Buckshot not Birdshot also it's a Singleplayer game not a Multiplayer. @Tableshirt

*Accuracy.
I like the accuracy especially on the Shotgun.
Chokes do tighten the shotgun pattern increasing accuracy for mid range.

*Projectile Speed.
A must have.

Cons:
*BULLET-TIME.
Very Slow Bullet Time Movement, Fast Drain speed, Slow Regen speed.
Makes Bullet-Time pointless to use also it causes movement issues.

*No Dual Sawed-off Shotguns.
This would be fun to use and quite lethal but the reload speed should be longer for Dual Sawed-off Shotguns leaving you vulnerable during the full 4 barrel reload unless you reload inbetween shots which is 2 barrels rather than 4 barrels.

*Player Grenade Blast Radius. This needs to be updated so that the Player Grenades have a bigger blast radius just like the NPCs Grenades. Fatality radius of 5 meters(16 ft). Grenades should also instant kill Bosses.

*Boss Health
Needs to be lowered for Realism.

I love the Mod but my only two complaints are as followed:
Cons:
*Bigger Poketsize (up to 1000)
This should be reverted back to it's default Ammo Capacity for DOA Difficulty only.

*No Dual Sawed-Off Shotguns :(
I really want Dual Sawed-Off Shotguns. 2 Shells per trigger pull(Instant Kill at Close-Medium Range) with a longer reload speed 8-10 seconds unless you reload inbetween shots but also the longer reload speed should leave you vulnerable if you get flanked, so be careful.

Other than the Cons I absolutely love this Mod. I just wiped Kaufman and his Goons out on Dead_On_Arrival Difficulty with the Silenced 9mm Beretta along with Bullet-Time to get those Instant Kill Headshot. I also did NOT take any Damage from Kaufman or his goons and I did this so Precisely that Kaufman and his Goons did NOT fire a single shot. That is how ******* awesome this Mod is. Pure Luck and Skill was on my side.

I appreciate the offer but No thanks I will stay with Redux for Singleplayer. Leave R+R for those that enjoy Multiplayer that don't want Overpowered realistic weapons.

For the moment I have decided to stick with Redux only because I prefer the stats on this version. The Realism+Redux combo is ok for the Graphics but the weapons felt weaker especially the G3 which felt more realistic on Redux only. Sadly I was not impressed since I mainly play Singleplayer and prefer stronger weapons. I do like the graphical improvements of the Realism+Redux combo.

Do I need to cut and paste the 'entitylibrarypatchoverride.xml file i just used back into patch_unpack\generated along with the 'entitylibrarypatchoverride' folder before repacking?

2. Drag “entitylibrarypatchoverride.xml” onto “Gibbed.Dunia.ConvertBinary.exe”. This will pack the files and overwrite the original “entitylibrarypatchoverride.fcb” with a fresh copy.

Problem: I dragged the entitylibrarypatchoverride.xml located in E:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Far Cry 2\Tools\fc2_dunia\patch_unpack\generated onto Gibbed.Dunia.ConvertBinary.exe but it did not create a new entitylibrarypatchoverride.fcb for me to replace the old.

Ok after I am done Step by Step how do I repack the 21_WeaponProperties.XML along with the Patch_Unpack folder? Do I need to rename any file? I tried to repack but it did not work perhaps I missed a step. I still have the 21_WeaponProperties.xml file in the Toms XML Decoder folder.

Could not find both G3KA4.Persistent and G3KA4.Mikes_Rusty. I assume these don't exist?

I however did find Primary.G3KA4 and G3KA4.Multi Are they the only two versions? I don't play Multiplayer and only want to modify the Singleplayer versions.

I do need Help. I used Mod Tools to unpack the Patch.dat and CovertBinary to unpack the entitylibrarypatchoverride.fcb and opened WeaponProperties.XML with Notepad++ but I cannot find the section that controls the Accuracy.

Accuracy is controlled by the “fAmplitude” stats in the “BulletSpread” section.

You can change the value for each different player state, which are different combinations of aiming, crouching and jumping.

While that is true in the unmodded base game version however this mod Realism+Redux is suppose to improve the guns making the guns more realistic.

Hmm the G3 seems weaker in this version. In Redux only the G3KA4 was decent but could have been better. G3 Should be nearly identical to the FN FAL stat wise both the G3 and FN FAL use .308/7.62x51mm which is a mid-long range powerful cartridge both also being Battle Rifles made for long range mid-long range combat.

Edit: For the G3KA4 and FN FAL I would change their stats to what I listed below.
Damage to 4 full Bars.
Accuracy to 4 full Bars
Range to 4 full Bars
G3 Rate of Fire to 1 full Bar -> Better for Tap Fire accuracy with a 20 round Magazine.
FN FAL Rate of Fire leave at current ROF.
FN FAL should have Similar stats with the exception of ROF.

So switching to DX9 fixes the issue? Edit: Yep changing to DX9 does fix the issue. Shame DX10 is full of bugs.

Same for me too. The first startup was fine but after that it's Crashing To Desktop everytime. We will have to wait for them to fix the issue that is causing the CTD.
