S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly

Mod review

A step up from Last Day, Anomaly manages to capture the essence of being a stalker, at least in my opinion. Due to its high customizability you can play it as a hobo simulator, Tarkov lite, or something inbetween. The game is gorgeous and has almost no crashes due to the 64 bit engine. Due to the slew of addons already included in the base game, Anomaly requires little modding and is enjoyable right out the box. That is not to say that modding it is redundant, as there are many great addons to try. One thing that's annoying is the omniscient, perfect aim AI, but, again, mods. Either that, or just some good old messing around with values in the .ltx files. All in all, it's a great mod and each fan of this series should give it a go!

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Last Day

Mod review

If CoM is a step up from CoC, then this mod is a step up from CoM. It contains many neat features which make it even more challenging, but fair, not to mention that it has all the essential add-ons already included, saving you the hassle of having to install them separately and worry about compatibility. The only thing I had to adjust was the time_to_aim parameter for all the weapons, but it's nothing that 5 minutes in Notepad++ won't fix. Apart from that, the economy needs adjustment, because selling a high-condition and high-end rifle should net more money, e.g.: I tried to sell an 85% L85, and the trader offered me some 3.4k RU, which is a bit ridiculous. Still, with that out of the way, it is a great mod!
