Refined 'BUG A.I.' with some slight enhancements.
The new Portal 2 source sdk is likely to be chosen by devs.
It's a toss between Unreal Engine and Portal 2 updated source sdk.

I welcome back any ex-team members just as long as they provide weekly backups of any and all work, complete or not.

Striked a new deal with a local development team to help out. I have backups of BUG AI on DVD along with Starship Trooper Models which still need some light work.

We got ripped off, we got free hosting and then they pulled it, along with it were backups of models, audio, coding, levels, etc. I had a dvd backed up as well but could never find it, I found the coding DVD backup but not the models. I cleaned out my basement storage and found it in a box with computer parts in it. I am hopeful I will find the other backups as well.

I alone did not kill this mod, a lot of the members did too as well, not supplying me with weekly backups of anything, etc. So we were double screwed but I always think about this mod and mad it died.

I now run 2 companies and am the Director of Internet Operations at another. So I have this development team to help me out. It costs some money but it should be well worth it.

you could however freely play the game when we switch over to the unreal engine. as by then we'd have a lisc by sony but if that never happens then all it will ever be is a half-life 2 modification and no ps3 or 360 =(

when we transition over to the Unreal Engine. You as a consumer could not play the game. Although you prolly could if you modded your Xbox AND got a hand on our source disk, etc.

I left the ST:S Mod section online and visible to everyone. If fans want to see what we're doing then that's fine. I'll just make one ST:S private section for team members only. So we can do some things that you guys wont know about. After all, a surprise is better right?

oh i surely wudnt download that, lol. its just to workout connection issues, etc. No gameplay or models have been loaded in except Starship Troopers models. Thats about it. It's not a solid MP release. We're just working on all the little things first to make sure it works. before we start importing and skeletoning the models, etc.

its all good just stating, a lot of ppl say that and we def. know how gay of us to work on an ST:S mod with bugs, etc. and leave the boring, long over used guns, that'd suck, lol.

oops meant to reply to your comment not neg karma. my fault. either way mod is not dead regardless if team members come back or not because my life has been such hell these past few months. So much hell that I couldnt focus on anything other than college and running my own business. I now have time and money to push the operation in full effect.

I've also been toying around with the Unreal Development Kit in my spare time to get use to it. Which is what I really want to switch to but I cant let the fans down and we have to build a MP Beta off of Source first as a Proof of Concept.

Honestly expect something by beginning of April. For real this time =).

So sorry to the team and every fan out there. There was nothing I could honestly do, life was bad, really, really bad for a whole lot of reasons that I don't want to dig into. For that you suffered along with me and for that I deeply apologize.

no income = =( I'm just setting up the server on one of my desktop computers after I secure it up. It's redic. what I had to go through to get our file architecture back from the old hosting company. They were trying to scam us it seems like into more and more time. Now I have no money so I'm forced to just host the vBulletin forums and our mod website from my house and eventually buy a dot com domain once I can afford one. This is redic and it has cut us back.

I couldnt imagine loosing all that works and progress, especially on the story to be lost forever. Just unacceptable. I'll be pulling through here soon guys, please dont loose your faith. It's just really, really hard times right now for me, for us.

coming back 01/01/10 . Stay tuned. Thanks for the votes for Mod Of The Year. lol. Not worthy enough yet but that'd be crazy to have, we'd get more support, more work, more visuals, stunning gameplay, etc. Thanks in any regard. Stay tuned.

we're waiting til theyre all ready and looking good for MOST of them, some we will release pre-maturely, but mostly people bitch too much and it's hard to keep up and defend something so simple, something usually stated in the description but they still dont care to read, etc.

Actually no.

1) Our mod will already be released and free PRIOR to any licensing deal, etc.

2) The license would be acquired to use the Unreal UDK and develop the game from there. If we fail for the license, it's for the Unreal Game we WOULD HAVE created.

If we fail at the license, we will just continue the work on our modification. =)
