Each and every station has been tested.
The ships come with a warning for such occurances. You may not always be able to get out of certain stations with a very small number of ships.

If you are playing online however, you can simply type /stuck and your ship is literally towed out of the station instantly.

If you are going to be playing on the main server you might find that Freelancer companion etc are not entirely accurate. This is because there are several price adjustments done serverside that Companion can't pick up.

The freelancer.exe file came up as a Trojan virus with my anti-virus program, Bullguard. Also has done it with a seperate scan with Zonealarm.
Considering that they both are professional and respected programs that work well with games (Bullguard even has a gaming edition) I think I'd prefer to trust them than well, you guys.

So just to say, the 1.8 beta has got a trojan virus in it, according to multiple anti-virus programs.

Hope it gets released, it's been over 2 years since 1.7 came out, I forgot this mod existed.
