All your lights are white and boring, get some colour in there!
It doesn't really help that you spam the flashlight button every second either.

And then you look at the overly usage of props, there's a generator in the middle of a hallway, makes no sense, the lighting is rather dull, power boxes and electric gear everywhere... A cardboard box on the floor? The list goes on, I commend the new mapper for what he's done, improved lighting, more claustrophobic and more focus on brushwork than prop placement.
This mod is well done, it's not flawless but they have released a playable version that brings much enjoyment to the player and gets the adrenaline pumping. I love what you did to the use of mic, having the sound come from the character, adds to the immersion and the immersion is great.
I can't wait for this! The mod is amazing, and if the game is half as good as the mod it will be one of the best games out there.
Who cares about the music? You should just focus on what the video is really about instead...
I'm really glad you picked this up again, looks great!
Fishing for the votes,
All the mods surely doing,
Jailbreak sure gets them.
SVN, don't know why as I just joined, but so far I find it very good and simple enough for a new user to get used to.
Good job, nice atmosphere! Good placement of entities, but the cliffs could use something on top of them or something, you can really see that there's nothing up there at the moment.
Really like the music, the metal-ish part reminds me of John Petrucci.
'lo there!
"I didn't really want to set up a portfolio on Interlopers, so I thought I'd just put up my stuff on here."
I had the exact same thoughts on that subject.
Like your stuff so far, nice use of textures.
And completely alter the gameplay of the first game? I think not.
I didn't see any boycotts against the CoD series, and they made new games with a lot less new stuff. This boycott is seriously not getting you anywhere, if you don't like it, don't buy it, but don't stay ignorant and ignore it completely. It's a good game and Valve did well, the game was overpriced though.
Let's see..
New models, new textures, new sounds, new animations, more gibs... What more do you ask of a game?
How could it easily be in l4d1? l4d2 is so different in balance, new infected, new survivors, new maps, new weapons.. All these are factors that would change the original l4d too much and we would have an even bigger whine fest from the players...
Videos, you can see step by step what is going on.
Amazing, I can't believe it's the source engine!
Um.. Just a little heads up, but you're using models from fpsbanana, which so many mods have done, and it's not really good, it means you're lazy and maybe you don't even have permission to use them. Get a modeler to do custom weapons for you.
Well I'm glad to hear that, can't wait to try this out.
Looks awesome, are you planning to implement head bobbing when rushing or maybe even a little when running to get away from the hl2dm feel?
I got an idea for the first part of the vid where you didn't know how to make it clear that you need to get up..
Make the ceiling into glass, that way you'll see the cubes.
No, I believe the bump mapping you mentioned is just a lack of "buildcubemaps". :P
What?! "Learn how to play Invasion" ?! "Search for INVASION servers" ?
Just to make one thing clear, Valve didn't make "The Ship" :P
Looks nice though. I don't thing there's too much blood.
I think they just made a field, mountains are merely a 3d skybox which gives the effect of a big map. The walls that are a little further away from the playable area might be in the 3d skybox aswell. Dunno though.
