
This weekend, we are proud to release Open Beta Patch 1.5. "Why so proud", you ask. Some of the fixes in this patch would not have been possible if it weren't for a couple of dedicated players that did some very thorough testing. Lebson admitted that the findings of these players led him to solving several large bugs. Also, our new programmer Adam "Macky" MacDonald implemented a brand new knockdown system that we are excited to implement and test. Overall, we feel that the updates in this patch are worth the two week wait since Patch 1.4.

Here is a little more detail on a couple of the updates in this patch. First off, the chat glitch that caused you to hear people's voice at a central location on each map has been fixed. This fix, though not related to, was paralleled by a map glitch that caused player positions to not update. Thanks again as these were brought to you by your fellow players. The G43 has also been completely updated. It has a new world model, magazine model, skin, and shot spread. Other weapons have also had world model upgrades to increase performance. There have been a bunch of other updates as well, but I will let the changelog below inform you of those.
With the release of St. Marie Dumont last patch, you can believe Toni worked hard on fixing the spawn issues and other bugs so we don't leave you with an unplayable map. In honor of the new map, here are some screenshots.

- ! Fixed the bug where you can hear voices at the origin if the person is out of render distance.
- ! Fixed the bug where player locations on the map didn't update when the person was out of render distance.
- ! Fixed a bug where sensitivities would sometimes change at random.
- ! Fixed vision blur not working when a player is shot or hit by grenade shrapnel.
- ! Fixed being able to see through the stock of the MG42 when it was deployed.
- ! Fixed wooden ladders playing metal ladder sounds.
- ! Fixed player view sometimes clipping through the ground during the death view.
- ! Added a new world model for the G43.
- ! Added a new skin for the G43.
- ! Added a new ammo magazine model for the G43.
- ! Added a new skin for the Opel Blitz model.
- ! Added a new animation for screwing on the cap of an uncapping German grenade when holstering.
- ! Added translations for the Axis fireteams.
- ! Added a 70% chance for a player to be forced to the ground under certain circumstances. (NOTE: This is not the A4 proning, this is a completely new system)
- ! Added a slight criss-cross to the weapon sights even when players are not moving.
- ! Added a destroyed version of the Waco Glider.
- ! Added a 70% chance for explosive damage to send the player's helmet flying off their head.
- ! Added sv_fadetoblack to optionally force players' views to black when they die.
- ! Added sv_deathtime to allow server operators to change the amount of time a player looks through their body's eyes before going into spectator mode.
- ! Added pain sounds when shot.
- ! Added LODs for several prop models like the Opel blitz and the R35 tanks
- ! Changed the Allied Player's helmet to be slightly smaller.
- ! Changed some of the larger prop models to be more efficient for lower end machines and at larger
- distances.
- ! Changed the German grenades to unscrew the cap slightly faster.
- ! Changed Axis to have 4 fireteams like the Allies.
- ! Changed the scoreboard to reflect this.
- ! Changed the Axis team join menu to reflect this.
- ! Changed German squads to "Gruppe Eins" and "Gruppe Zwei" instead of "one"
- and "two"
- ! Changed the BAR's suppression ability to make it more effective.
- ! Changed the Carbine's fire rate to be slightly faster.
- ! Changed the MG42's reload, deploy, and undeploy times to be slightly faster.
- ! Changed ammo dropping to have some variability in the throw so that the ammo does not create a perfect pile every time.
- ! Changed objective icons on the map to no longer be random colored squares. They are now icons that represent the status of the objective.
- Updated the St. Côme du Mont map overview texture.
- Updated the shot spread of the K98, K98 Scoped, Garand, and G43.
- Updated the MG42 skin.
- Updated various world weapon models to increase performance and make it easier to increase performance further in the future.
- Updated the Team Join menu visuals.
- Updated the Waco Glider skin.
- Updated the low morale breathing/heartbeat sound.
- Updated St. Côme du Mont to fix some small issues.
- Updated St. Mére Eglise to fix various small issues, exploits, and an issue with the opening windows.
- Updated Ste. Marie du Mont to fix the spawning issues as well as other minor issues and visual glitches.
- Updated La Fiere to make some undesirable areas unreachable, tweak the spawn protections, and add an additional exit to the Allied spawn.
- Updated the firing sounds for the Gewehr 43, Colt 1911, M1 Garand, MG42, MP40, Browning .30Cal, and Walther P38.

man thx god this group update fast! many developers should learn from this group once you release a version look for problems in tht one and then release another one in 3 weeks terrific!
This mod is well done, it's not flawless but they have released a playable version that brings much enjoyment to the player and gets the adrenaline pumping. I love what you did to the use of mic, having the sound come from the character, adds to the immersion and the immersion is great.

Any Source game as it needs Source SDK base 2007 to work.
Jup - the only thing that does *not* work is the free version of Lost Coast or Portal.

I got the Beta 1.5 patch and installed that. It doesnt show that there are any servers on the list. Do i need to delete that and the previous version i had then get the Full installer or what???
If you installed on top of an old version ,it should work just fine.
If it isn't working, there may be something going on with the master servers.
When you can see servers again, just add them to your favorites to keep track easier.
Downloading it is a bitch.
