I absolutely LOVED this CS (honestly one of the best I've played thus far!), although I've found a glitch. :< Towards the very very end when you can open only one chest to get the key for the last room, NONE will open for me, and I've re-opened the game multiple times to try to make it work, but it simply won't. Ha ha, but I loved it so much I had to look up the ending!

Very nice mod, Kaernk! (: I personally loved your idea of having no cue that a monster was coming... ha, definitely caused a few jumps with me! Mainly when I was in the mine and I saw one of those ******* just lumbering about down the corridor... I nearly ****** myself. |: What I definitely liked most of all was how you did the ending, offering the players three choices- that way, your actual morals are tested. :D Very nice choice! One negative aspect I caught though were some control issues... first with the ladder into the attic to get the last button. I damn hatch wouldn't open for a good 30 minutes until I FINALLY got it, and then I also couldn't get the poison gland (it... was hopping around in the water, which was honestly as freaky as other areas of the game, ha ha) until I rebooted the game. The puzzles were a definite A+ though! As far as horror goes, that was pretty nice as well, but some scares were a bit typical. As stated I did really like your idea of no music changes though, and one thing that really stood out to me was the scene where it looks like a brute is peeking around a corner at you, then he just disappears into blood. I. JUMPED. .__. Overall though, very nice modification, I thoroughly enjoyed it! ^^
This is a BRILLIANT custom story so far- very unique and thrilling! ^^ However I've a question... I'm a Mac user and once you get into the tunnel just after the whole "escape the rising blood in the torture chambers" jazz, the lag becomes unbearable. I got both the patches, however with a Mac I'm unsure I did it correctly... I did move each into the "Rain" folder, however.
Gaaah, I'm stuck. D: I didn't make the explosive yet, and so now I'm in the room with the "strange" shelf, beyond the library. I can't find a button ANYWHERE, but I also can't leave to go back and make the explosive/find the laboratory key... If you go to the library door, it says "****! I forgot the hammer..."
But on a different note, great custom story thus far, I love it! (:
Magnificent mod here! ^^ I loved it. :D I especially enjoyed the rather nonchalant nature of Dr. Jones... he wasn't the "hurrhurr I'm so evil" type you see that's so over-exaggerated. I actually found him disturbing, like when you first come across the water monster. My stomach literally plummeted when I got the "RUN. Nothing left to say" note. Definitely want to play the continuation! :D
