Heroes 3.58f WoG cheat codes work with the latest v0.8.2 release.
Please don't download anything like this from unauthorized sites.
Such messages mean that you have messed up the installation.
Correct installation should go like this:
- Install Heroes Complete (GoG edition)
- Install H3SW in that folder
- (optional) Install HD Mod in that folder if you have resolution problems or the game crashes at start
Please note:
1) Heroes 3 HD Edition from Ubisoft is not eligible!
2) It's better to have the game installed in a directory other than C://
The Ghost Planet conversion is now in public access!

Please feel free to visit our official forum and leave us your impressions of the game.
For now, there won't be any additional settings for doing that. However, what we can do for the next update is to speed up the creatures in general, to some extent.
Well, it is not how it is supposed to be.
Please proceed to our official forums where we can discuss the solution.

We do! It is all a matter of time (and our free time, too).
I suppose no.
Ghost Planet will certainly appear in future! That is one of my favorite maps as well. That's why it had to receive special attention.

Hello! You'll need a set of tools to do that. They work both for vanilla HoMM3 and Heroes 3: WoG (which H3SW is based on).
MMarchive - required to open h3sw.pac, extract a TXT table with creature stats and pack it back again (drag-n-drop works).
TextEdit - required for correct editing of creature stats. The TXT table can be found if you search h3sw.pac for TXT tables. Many of the game's parameters can be edited that way.
Would be interesting to know more.
Please leave a topic on our official forums if the problem persists.
Depends on what you call "balance". The game was just as playable as Heroes 2 even in previous updates. Regarding its eligibility for competitive play - well, it's a long, if not impossible way to go.
Heroes 3 HD Edition is not compatible with the mod.
What you need is Heroes of Might and Magic III: Complete Edition, or Heroes of Might and Magic III: Shadow of Death (developer: New World Computing, publisher: 3DO)
Recent H3HD from Ubisoft is technically a different game, it doesn't even include all vanilla material.
The game you need to get is not present in Steam. It can be purchased from Good Old Games, as one of the options.
There is, but not in the closest future I am afraid. HD Mod is being developed by other people, and I can not guarantee that we will be able to have them doing additional work just for us only.
Only if we decide to do so. For now, campaigns are not supposed to be played with the mod. Future releases are likely to have their own campaigns (starting with H2 classics).
The mod is based on WoG, so if you see something with the title "In The Wake of Gods", this is okay. The installation process is automatic. Just do what you are required to do in the instructions.
It is.
Check the HD Mod spoiler for info. You should find necessary settings in a specific INI file.
We never met that before, might be a more recent problem. You see, HD Mod has been updated numerous times after we released H3SW v0.8.1. We will look into it for the next update.
For now, it is advised to use older HD Mod builds:
Try something around "HD 5.0 beta 52", these versions should be still compatible to H3SW v0.8.1.
This is because the game is searching for another directory. You should put your maps in "H2MP" folder which is located in the Mods/The Succession Wars subdirectory in your game folder.
Yes, there is.
Not yet. We are working on it.
No, HD Edition is in fact a separate game and not Heroes 3 anymore. No mod is compatible to that except potmdehex's HD Edition patch.
The installation instruction is in the description. If you have troubles, feel free to answer this message so that I get the notification.
Yeah, every message related to "dll" files is always an installation problem. Same goes with HD Mod (don't use it for now, the latest HD Mod is incompatible with H3SW for some reason)
Unfortunately, no certainty as of now. We do have a lot of things done for the update, but more work needs to be done.
It is. What do you like to know in specific?
Please proceed to heroes2.forumactif.com so we can work on the issue. Feel free to leave a thread in the bug-dedicates section:
The error is due to some changes in recent HD Mod updates. To fix the game, you can reinstall the mod in the same folder over all files. I am suspicious that the whole deal is about patcher_x86.dll file, which you can replace with the one coming with the native H3SW installation.
I also found out that the mod in fact CAN launch even with this error. Approximately 1 of 10 launches is fine and the mod otherwise behaves absolutely alright. So, you can try that roulette method if you wish to keep HD Mod installed, too.
We are working on the issue for v0.8.2 update.
There is a difference, but perhaps the contrast is too low for people who are used to playing standard SoD with HD Mod. We may also implement a more sophisticated speed control in future updates.
Thanks a lot! I replied to you on Forums of Enroth regarding information about development.
