It was just a matter of spending enough time working through the issues. It was definitely a good amount of work and made sense not to do when the mod was still working on reimplementing the original factions.
Hey, I'm not really looking for "success" :P I'm just putting a tool I use up for download in case anybody else finds it useful.
I can have a look at these additional types, although w3d and audio/video formats are unlikely to happen. I have no knowledge of how to read w3d files and media files would need some sort of media reader packaged with the application.
Hey, the problem you're encountering will be partially solved next patch. You will be able to select the Hidden One for evil faction as we are loosening restriction on custom heroes. However, it is not possible to do so for Imladris and Rohan as they were not part of the original factions.
Either way, you can circumvent this issue by clicking on the custom hero you want to play and then pressing the first letter of its name. So for The Hidden One you would have to press its name and then press T.
Is this a custom map or an edain map?
No and no, modding does not allow much modification of the UI besides its look.
The whole point of the rework was that you build your armies on the living world and then fight on the battle map. If your builders build camp and castle flags then there is no difference between that and skirmish. In addition, if players on the map have access to a full base this means each battle will be as long as a skirmish game.
What's immersion breaking exactly about builders?

Sounds like you installed on top of 2.02, Edain is not compatible with 2.02. Uninstall Edain, uninstall 2.02 and follow this installation guide: Edain.fandom.com
The server are currently down, we're looking into it (or rather our server admin will be looking into it, I'm just twiddling my thumbs)
You have to create separate folders for Edain and 2.02. You can then switch the folder names around based on what you want to play.
We found that there was indeed another issue and fixed it. Please keep reporting any instances you see so we can try the fix out on these maps.
You have to make sure you edit the correct file. If you have a patch or mod enabled it is likely that the changes you are making are overriden by another file. Look for your file starting from the top of your game folder.
The adventure mode looks pretty cool
As a tip you can also trample these kinds of untargeatable units. Do you have more info on the second issue? Which units were those?
If it seems to be a bug in the latest version, you can circumvent the issues by disabling the englishpatch201.big file. Disabling the file can be done by adding .bak on the end.
You should re-enable it once you're done otherwise you will have no strings in game.
