Numenohtar - - 10 comments @ Falathrim Halberdiers

Of old there was Círdan the Shipwright, and the Telerrim of the Falas were his people. Pearl-divers and builders of ships, they brought the strength of the Great Sea to the field of slaughter. Behold how the hands that hewed wood between the Brithon and the Nenning to build masts for ships now grip the poles of the most radiant halberds. Clad in blue, and with cunningly-wrought helms, the Elves of the Falas defend the coastlands of Beleriand from the Shadow.

Will the custom battle option still be available? Like, can we still field a bunch of Noldor on Grassy Plain, etc., and slay the orcs in heaps?

You can install TATW basically as many times as you like, provided you have the space to do so.

Watch and follow the instructions carefully. You can edit TATW.cfg, Third Age.bat and the folder name to whatever you like, and then when you install TATW again, it is a fresh install.

This is useful if you use a lot of submods like me (Second Age, DaC)...

Ellin is working on this on his own time when he can spare it, which is an immense project in and of itself. It'll be done when it's done. Imagine trying to design, build and sail Vingilótë all on your own.

I've read the Silmarillion so many times that frankly it'd be criminal if I wasn't able to rip off the style just a little bit!

Now the people of Hador Lórindol were the most staunch and warlike of the Edain, and the High King of the Noldor had great affection for that folk. Girt in ringed mail and gripping well-crafted swords, these warriors of Dor-lómin defend the stronghold of King Fingon, Barad Eithel-- And they do so with great stoutness of heart, meeting the foul creatures of the Enemy face to face and blade to blade. Fair-haired and grim in visage, the Hadorian Guard are easily kindled to wrath, but also to laughter, as are all the Edain who followed Marach over the mountains into Beleriand. A shadow lay over their past, and they do not forget it, but are stronger because of it, having become more fierce and fell in vengeance against the Master of Lies. Just as they march under the banners of the House of Fingolfin and the House of Hador, so do they fight for both the Eldar and the Edain, freely giving their short lives, though uncertain of their fate after their bodies are slain; a sacrifice which even the greatest of the Eldar cannot make.

(Fattened it up a bit more, with an added sentence or two on the unit in action):

Mightiest and most valiant of all the Noldor, Fingolfin surrounded himself with warriors of like mettle and mood. Indeed, his mounted guard are the most steadfast of his House, and are arrayed in the colors of his banners; silver and blue. Their lances are fell, their swords long, and their helms shine like towers of silver under a sky of glittering stars. The charge of the High King's mounted guard is awesome to behold, and the the footmen of the Enemy wither before them. When they pierce an unguarded flank, their foe begins to rout, skewered and thoroughly trampled. The steeds they ride are of the stock of Valinor. The fathers of their mounts were bred in Aman, now the hooves of their scions sound on the the plain of Ard-galen, for the House of Fingolfin keeps a close eye on the land of Morgoth.

(Next up: Hadorian Guard!)

Mae govannen, and countless attendant thanks for undertaking such a huge project. I will attempt to do some unit descriptions worthy of your work so far, which has been beyond excellent.
