Base anomaly is a broken, buggy husk, though it is somewhat stable compared to some other incarnations of Stalker. The most impressive part is that it's as stable as it is with so many changes made..
But that doesn't change the fact that it's an empty POS husk. Anomaly becomes fun when you tack on the correct addons.
It also helps that people with some actual writing talent, created some missions that the Anomaly team decided to add to their base game. One of the few good decisions they made that actually added some playability to the game.
