Hi, I had similar problem. Try quick save and reload over again until he appears in mid air like they sometimes do.
Then he stays awake after that.
Really looking forwards to it.
Thanks for this. I had similar problem. Due to random spawning I had to take down some zombies as well at the Chimera. Then was told did not do enough.
Luckily had saved just before mission started. But zombies still there so took 3 or 4 goes to get through it.
I think that is the spawn point for mutants etc. So they appear out of the view of the player.
Just pot luck with a lot of these missions. I always save before accepting a mission and then check the map.
Would be nice to have the location in the mission offer before you accept it.
Can you wipe out a faction in this game?
I was playing as a Bandit and could not fast travel to and from Dark valley. Nearest friendly one is army warehouses.
With this type of issue I find if I save at that point then quit and re-load, it normally does the trick.
Also, go and stand next to the stalker who gave you the mission. Then save, quit and re-load.
Might have to try a couple of times.
Another open question.
As I have mostly only ever played as Loner.
Are there other factions that give interesting missions. Other than get this or kill him.
Any advice would be helpful.
A suggestion for fast travel.
The list of destinations does not change based on your faction.
Can the fast travel list be updated with more destinations?
Or can you have a separate list for each faction. (I.E. loners not being offered fast travel to military base etc.)

Been exploring it more now. Looks like the better the armour is at something the better it resists it.
My SEVA was good in thermal. So did not deteriorate that much in a thermal anomaly. My Exo no so good. But when animals attach or I get shot the armour hardly moves down.
Having said all that though.
When you buy the armour there is no stat for how resilient it is.
I like Stats. I want the numbers....
About the artifacts I would say that a lot of them are not much use to a stalker. But they make a lot of money when smuggled out of the zone to collectors or scientists.
Which is more like the original story Road side picnic. In the story they were not much use in the zone. It was the reason to go in.
I do use a couple of them. I use them to boost endurance and reduce bleeding. But you can only use them for specific situations then swap. In COC you can wear them all the time.
I actually found using some of the animal skins really useful.
I had same problem.
What I do now is stand still for a couple of seconds. Then open inventory and just click on the icon when finished I close inventory again. Then open it again to merge etc.
If I do other inventory stuff or am moving when opening inventory before hitting icon it crashes to desktop.

+10% yes. But +10% of what?
You have to put the torch in the artefact detector slot. Or you equip a head torch by right clicking on it.
Is the value the faction you are a member of?
I am playing a loner and my loner was about that to go green.
May be more if other faction?
No certain but mine went green at 750 ish.
It is hard to describe but it is the room where you usually get a burer in the vanilla game. It is full of radition.
I think it is to the left and then up the stairs to the left in the room with the hole in the floor.

If you go in to the canteen area there is a ladder that takes you up in to a room above!!
(I did not find it too as in the vanilla game the ladder is not there).
In the game options it gives stalker population factor. How does this work?
Is 1 more and o.5 less?

Are there enough of the buried stashes to warrant taking a spade with you everywhere?
I have only found a couple. (Not sure where I should be looking).
Maybe it is just me. But in this mod I am finding it impossible to jump on to the gas station roof.
I don't seem to be able to jump as far as the vanilla.
I did find the white case and sold it.
Still appears on my map. I guess I must have left something behind.
Anyone able to find "the experiments" stash in the agropom underground?
