We hope to make it VR ready after we finish porting for SSE and Xbox1.

Lessons learned and optimisations made in the process of our Xbox1 port will help us make it available for VR more easily.

End in sight. No date available!
We're unfortunately reliant on the time and energy of our team of volunteers. And while we're now celebrating content complete on two fronts, more work remains to be done.

Rest assured: We are sitting on a pile of great content in a great state. It's all about finishing what we started.

Hey Artaios, what Cameron said below is the problem.
We can only use 'so much data'.

What comes next is the solution: You take less data.
We've upgraded our tools to load fewer parts of Skyrim into the editor, while still loading the entirely of Skyrim into the game.

The difference lies in editors requiring a full load of data, while an open world game streams data as it's necessary (If you're in Windhelm, we'll just go ahead and unload Whiterun.)

The upgrade lies in having the two select which variants of Skyrim to load, at what time, in order to successfully be able to use either one.

Every now and then we hit a new limit, disable a new portion, and an automated updater redistributes the new settings.

The maximum load is roughly:
All of Skyrim + All of Dragonborn + a tiny bit more.

Happy to help!

Thank you! I'll be sure to pass it down the line.

Meanwhile I got me a date with some dirt, some rocks, and some points of interests for you to uncover later.
