A member of the Constantinian dynasty, Julian was orphaned as a child. He was raised by the Gothic slave Mardonius, who had a profound influence on him, providing Julian with an excellent education. Julian became caesar over the western provinces by order of Constantius II in 355, and in this role he campaigned successfully against the Alamanni and Franks. Most notable was his crushing victory over the Alamanni at the Battle of Argentoratum (Strasbourg) in 357, leading his 13,000 men against a Germanic army three times larger. In 360, Julian was proclaimed Augustus by his soldiers at Lutetia (Paris), sparking a civil war with Constantius. However, Constantius died before the two could face each other in battle, and named Julian as his successor.

INCREDIBILI!!! This is the 'device' used to define the skies' zones inside of which the augurs can be counted, like when Romulus allegedly killed Remus when he stepped into the pomoerium after they failed to agree who should be the 1st king of Rome!
Sorry about the weird grammar or sentences I'm french lol

we can see how it's represented inside Romulus' cabin in Rome here around 39:53

SALVETE AMICI !

Just wanted to thank you guys for the work and efforts, this may seem a bit extreme but this is the ONLY mod that I'd die for I mean I'm a big ancient Rome nerd and was surprised to see that you mentioned Firmus' rebellion so I guess you love Roman history just as much as I do!

I hope you won't give up as I'm aware total conversions are about the most hardcore modding initiatives... When I first discovered the mod I was ready to ask if you'd need someone for the map layout, historical facts or such but I'm glad to see that you got this pretty much covered!

Anyways, I'm willing to donate a few denarii or sestertii (even euros if you're ready for it) cause this is no easy nor small task and I just think it can sometimes help thinking that we get rewarded for such great endeavour. So if you guys have a patreon or something you know what to do! Before I spend all of Byzantium's gold trying to reinstate the old gods... (Seriously... what was Constantine thinking...).

All the love,

Hello, such a nice big map, textures and cities are beautiful, however, when starting a new game, I'm automatically equipped with Seljuk armor, seljuk saber and seljuk horse, even when choosing crusader banner, I don't know if its a bug or just because I choose cavalry when it asks you about your past, could be the cavalry thing or is there something wrong ?
Also, maybe are you aware of the fact that Acre's lord has been replaced by Artimenner ? -with no garrison at all- maybe is it something that you already planned to work on, anyway, just wanted to tell you how magnificent your work seems to be, just a few things to correct, otherwise, I think it is beautiful. You talked about scenario right ? where could I jump into the story ?
Thank you for taking time to consider my question

IMPERATOR•IVLIANVS - - 8 comments @ Sands of Faith v2.3 RELEASED

YAAAAAAAY !!!! It is definitely part of the truly best mods you can find for that game, textures are so beautiful, it is some great overhaul ; what a fine work !
I am addicted to the crusades background, and especially to the Templars' Order, and I reckon you've done a fantastic work based on this amazing era, outfits are awesome, faces looks reaaaally nice, Templars' swords looks incredible, and I couldn't hold myself from being amazed by the details of the swords' blades, rigorous work for theses ones, and for all the rest, magnificently put together, your french crusaders warcries are absolutely delightful -believe me, I'm french, and I can tell you that the way it is shouted by the character really embellishes the immersion ! Nothing to complain about, it is a great success, besides from a few minor bugs : when I intend to change my helmet, I can't drag it from my head to my inventory without loosing all my hair, and I could not fix it from the character's section, when I drag the helm to the inventory, a debug message written in red adverts the following : "Unable to find mesh_skullcap" or something like that, and even after loosing my hair due to the lack of helmet, I can't click on the "done" button, leaving me unable to quit the inventory, I just can't leave without my helmet on, if you have any idea regarding how you could fix it, it would be greatly appreciated, beside of this little minor incident, I'd like to thank you for all the impressive work you managed to put together, it kinda saved my week, as I spent days wandering through internet, searching for a good templar game, someone talked about mount & blade, and I -luckily- found your mod as one of the first I installed for the Game, and, -WOW!- the overall experience leaves me sooo happyy to see you offering that kind of perspective, and, above it all, it is some true quality work you've experienced here !
Congratulations, and I shall thank you in advance for taking time to explore what possibly messed up with the inventory, knowing that I also experienced this kind of trouble with other items, especially in the Cheat-Menu->Find-An-Item, but the problem I exposed upper-head strictly concerns the character's inventory only.
I'm just sad my computer isn't powerful enough to support your replacement town scenes, I tried quickly, but it took a hell of a time to load Acre's new town scene (BEAUTIFUUUL!!!!), then it lagged a little bit, back to the scene's menu, I tried to "take a walk around the streets" for the second time, and then the game crashed, experiencing a RunTime Error. I already saw you saying that it was a matter of videoMemory, but I don't really understand how I couldn't handle this while having 8 GB of RAM and a GTX 960m (yes, I'm sadly playing on a laptop)
Can't wait to see the 2.0, and I truly hope that you'll be working on similar mods for Bannerlord, as I couldn't expect playing it without having the ability to slain some pagans, and leave them burning upon the desert lands of these righteous Sands of Faith...

IMPERATOR•IVLIANVS - - 8 comments @ Medieval Conquests Version 4.5 full build

Hello,

It is a fantastic mod, great historical accuracy, great animations, splendid graphics (splendid for the base engine)
I especially love the way we interact with the troops wile shouting in battles, I love the concept of being able to go as a crusader, I only regret the fact that it doesn't have real scenario quests or something similar, tied to the crusades history, but the base game wasn't meant to be played with a scenario (as far as I know...) so it ain't something I'd complain about.
I have a question though... When you say that you take AD 1257 as a basis, do you mean that this module takes back EVERY single aspect of AD 1257 ? or is there some things that you cut off ?
Could you enumerate all the things you added yourself ? or if you already did so, is there anyplace I can find the "changelog" ?

IMPERATOR•IVLIANVS - - 8 comments @ 1860s Old America NEW Version 1.5

Hi,

I've been on this mod for a few days now, globally, I had the feeling that it is truly a good module experience, not totally polished of course (and this kind of work is never easy to complete, especially when you're working on your own)
I wouldn't find anything to really complain about, knowing that the only thing that frustrates me most is the fact that I can't visit the entire town ; whenever I'll go, I'll find an invisible wall stopping me while willing to turn in some street.
I explain myself : my only regret regarding towards your town structures is that even when you still have a couple buildings in front of you, you may risk to be invited to "leave the area", which brings you back to the scene menu. I used to think that it is quite a shame knowing that you've built quite big towns ! (these are beautiful scenes, congrats' !) Now, I know it is a comfortable way to limit the time spent on building your town structures, being able to gain some time to work on other aspects of the module -great content in your mod by the way !- and it is a great idea to design such amazing towns for the environments, but it might be frustrating for some of those role-playing fanatics (such as myself) besides, I know that it would seem ridiculous to spend so much time working on town scenes, because it isn't a fundamental aspect of the game since there isn't much to exploit by this side regarding the gameplay, but, as I already said, it is just some part of a role-play thrill to explore at the ends of any city. If I think a little bit more objectively, I'd rather say that it isn't quite a big deal.
On a second hand, I think that the most important thing that lacks to your content is the absence of scenario (or maybe I didn't explore enough...?)
I'm aware that it might be the most difficult above all, but I always thought that the lack of scenario tends to impoverish the overall quality of a mod. I ain't saying that a whole scenario is needed, but a few quests based upon the civil war would be truly welcomed. Just to feel a little bit more immersion from the NPCs relationships. I'm also talking about the diversity of some random events, that would greatly overhaul the immersion.
Last thing that quite bothered me too was the position of your arm while pointing your pistol to someone, I feel that it is to centered relatively to the eyes of the character, it really gives me that feeling especially when I'm at the back of a horse, but I think I figured that it is an imperfection due to the game's vanilla physics, right ? I was asking myself if it was quite easily possible to correct the global field of view...? Just know that I was wondering about that, I know that it's not your fault
Anyway, I was really happy to see you offering such an experience, I still find it veeery enjoyable, since your mod content is great, despite the little historic anachronisms, like you said, regarding the fact that we find the Republic besides Maximilian's Empire feels reaally odd towards Mexico's political structure, but this is another detail that doesn't smash the mod's gameplay concepts.
In my opinion, it is some great quality work that you accomplished here, at least it is a perfect basis to enhance at further occasions (I use the term "basis" but I'm well aware that it is already a hell of a work)I like it a lot, so don't give up this fantastic work, you'll find some time to polish this impressive base that you've built here, whenever you will, just don't give up, but if you do, I could not get angry at you for that reason, as I know that such a work requires waaay too much time to spend upon, and it ain't easy to establish stable life standards while having so much modding work...
So, again, thank you so much, and congratulations bro -I'm sorry if the ideas I meant to explain seemed to be confused, I'm french and I ain't mastering english that mmuch, still, I hope that it is quite clear, at least globally understandable.

My best regards,

Gérard de Ridefort
