Character information is stored server side. This is so each server can have different progression schemes. One global account does not allow servers to customize their information. Also it means if you use a different computer you can use your own account on that server.
The server side player models would be easy (actually, theoretically, it can be done now) the monster scripting will take time because we have to re-overhaul the monster system by hand so it may take a couple revisions but it will get in there sooner or later.
We have updated our site since, also, no there is not, hl2:ep2 is where we draw many of our models, textures, and particle effects. So if you play mod com with out hl2:ep2 you will have a couple of missing models, displayed as giant 'error' blocks.
Our aim, for the moment, is to be an orange box mod.
The server you were playing on probably had not updated to version 2.0.0 and hence did not save 2.0.0 character data correctly.
The Armour Regen is a bug that should be fixed in the next version.
The ammo regen autoswap is another bug I just added to the queue.
That push is in the orange box collision code. We have not modified it.
We rebalanced acid spit in the 1.77 beta we had, however we forgot to carry that over. We will be implementing that in the next .x update.
I'm not sure what is happening. Please try posting in the bug reports section of our forum and describe the server this is happening on, is it a steam window or a mod com window (mod com windows are orange, steams are silver):

1) This is how health regen works! You need it to level 10 to get 100% regen.

Yes, but the main thing we are doing is reworking how the nodes work.
Essentially there are nodes through out the map, and when you try to teleport it checks to see if there are any in sight of your destination. The reason your teleportation is spotty in outdoorsy areas is because they may be coming from over buildings and whatnot. You can fall through the map when there arn't enough placed in the area your aiming for. In a revision we are fixing up the teleport blocker code to fix both issues.
Teleport reworking is in the to-do list, I could go more in depth to why it works the way it does, if your interested say so, otherwise know we're working on it.
If you got top kills, why nerf those who kill you regularly? When others can kill them easily... That would make it too easy for you.
Monseters have better stats at higher levels, the antlion guard gains 500 health a level!, if you don't notice the level difference then we balanced everything correctly.

Hey this is mason one of the programmers, yes servers will have to reset characters for 2.0.0 however from then on you should never have to again (except at the discretion of the server admins, because all character data is stored server side)
I find mind absorb tends to give me the aux I need when I need it. Of course thats a teleporting get in your face character, so mind absorb tends to tick quite often, and besides it does damage!
