Well, this is my first attempt at ever modeling and texturing something that ISN'T mechanical. Actually have been designing it for my Year 12 Design class, so I needed a good excuse to start attempting to model characters, even one as dreadful as this... :P
The Emperor's Hand is a guard unit for the Emperor of the Holy Empire himself, consisting of two highly trained conventional regiments and a highly trained bodyguard battalion, that ironically also serves as highly trained assassins. The Legionnaires are trained in the use of all conventional weapons, such as muskets and blades, but also in the use of unique weapons to the Emperor's Hand, such as the legendary Katana Rifle and Steam Pike.
Despite its guard status, the unit has begun seeing increasing action to bolster the Royal Conventional Regiments against the barbarian forces, which mysterious growth has added a touch of concern to even the stone heart of the Emperor himself...
This is actually a really smooth, simple model. And don't say its dreadful, it's all about aesthetic.
