hmmm WWI is definitely unexplored territory for gaming, ought to be interesting to see how this will come out, the ideas are good, kicking med packs and health regen out the window is a nice sign, although it would be a good idea to have a temp fix for serious wounds besides stopping the bleeding, maybe l4d type "pills" (dunno if morphine was invented yet) for a temp boost in "health" (100% before wound - 50% after wound, morphine/whatever applied, 75% after application, but 2% loss every 2 sec until back to 50%). just make sure to keep as far away as possible from the health regen please. also I think you might want to only issue 1 nade to each unit, or even make a specific "assault" class that gives up some ammo for a nade , if you get insta kills or the ability to disable enemies with nades, they would be much more useful than your gun, witch also brings in nade spamming, a team doing this to an enemy position until they're completely forced to leave without a fight is just annoying, if an organized group of 3 people have 2 nades each, then 6 nades can be used... and with the trench/house/encampment warfare being used, then more than likely the nades will be a powerful assault tool. Also the comment about "run and gun WWI"... is that even possible with a bolt action? :/ any ways... you got my watch :D
