Yeah, we had to delay. Lot of work for the whole team on Xen. But don't hope for the "mod of the year". Requiem is going to be released "as it is". So just an hour of fun maybe... but that's all.
I'm working on releasing something asap, i'm the only one still working on the project, so... whatever is going to be released, just be patient :)

The actual player which is me... is in god mod. And besides that, we don't have maths genius in our team or AI specialist, since, we working at two since a year with Sebultura.
So no, it won't be any AI improvements, but, believe me, if you don't spend your time to retrieve your health fully in a little corner with Lay on Hands power, it will be pretty hard... even for a skilled player.
And talking about AI, people really have to think about something before writing it down on a website. Seriously, how many developers in modding community can really "change", i mean, not tweak, adjust, or optimize, but Change, improve... radical changes... a Artificial Intelligence ?
I don't think they're so much guys capable of doing that... so for a mod... there's no way the AI becomes "WOW", and ESPECIALLY on an engine like the Doom Engine which has a poor AI.

We just discussed that on BeyondUnreal, everybody agree that for now, there is not TC support, and surely the TC support would be available only for PC first.
There is an issue about that... actually i search a lot about mod cooking on UT3 for consoles, and it seems that the hardware can't handle total conversion of the game.
We'll see in the next patches, but i think that the mod won't be released for any consoles. Sorry :/

I think i gotta put that in the next news too... but, all the "time measures" put in the gamedesign features are just NOT fixed at all. It's just some kind of example of what could eventually be ingame.
Besides that, as we were discussing with patrick a few days ago. We prefer to make a mod with "pretty frustrating balance" at first and then, change some stuff and evolve to a more flexible gameplay. Players will a lot more enjoy to gain flexibility... in the contrary, if we do a really opened gameplay, with marines running everywhere, having health at max after a revive with not even a side effect after being healed by a noob-butcher-marine who doesn't even know how to rescue his buddy (theoricaly speaking), if we have to balance game to a more "strict" way to play... i already know that we're gonna have tons of mail because we killed the mod or something like that.
I'm really glad that the community give some ideas, it's always helpfull. But i think i won't take time to say each time that is just for "the record" actually, and not play tested and balanced.
The guys with you are AI or players ? i didn't understand very well if it was a single player test or a multiplayer test :p
That's what we were waiting for since Carmack showed the first movie of Doom 3 with this feature (that... strangely, wasn't in the final game). Really good job :)
Predator's are not on the schedule for now... but... Maybe, maybe not. If yes, it's not going to be in the mod before the final release.
The space jokey was in our ideas at first, but we switch to more funny stuffs, like new alien races. The space jokey... maybe in a map for architectural design, but that's all ;)
That's why the rest of my comment is important BradNewsom, if they try to sue us, then we will change every aspect of the ET.
As we are starting a project based on a well know IP... i said Yes, free. But i just add : Free as long as the use of the IP is not commercial.
What is the point you'd say... the more important point : FREE MARKETING.
If most of the producers were cool enough to authorize that, it would give them a lot of marketing, communication, ads around their IP. For free.
But as soon as an IP allow the user to get some money... that's another problem. :)

We're not using anything protected atm... just the Giger's representation of an extraterrestrial creature. If there's any problems with the original monsters... then we will redo ours, and keep the work on that project. The rest is just a bunch of classical weapons, marines and corridors ;)

If you want to take the project as we stopped, I wanna talk about it with you. We are actually planning to make something else with a new team, so you can take the project if you want... we're gonna release that opensource anyway. But i still want to centralize ressources new stuff around the mod, even if everything as not been going on as i planned.
