Reviews - Mattey

I am about to finish "apprehension" and I am loving it so far. I enjoy it, BUT there are things that I seriously hate and I think they could be improved:

-As mentioned before: the magnum is giiven too early.

-Even on hard, the game has been incredibly easy. Alien enemies are way too easy to kill, specially the bullsquid: it is supposed to have a hard skin but it only takes a double barrel shot to kill it, it should be at least 3 double barrel shots. Ichthyosaurs are ridiculously easy to kill, a full glock round and it's dead! they should be much much harder to kill. Vortigaunts should be just a bit stronger. Houndeyes and headcrabs are ok -of course-.

-In Apprehension you don't need to kill the first Ichthyosaur. Actually, you can skip the whole thing and IMHO, that is a problem. I know it is ok to give the player the option to choose, but after the second map I was like "Hmm, I think I'm missing something", and of course, it was the crossbow. It was until then that I noticed I skipped the whole scene.

-Another improvement: they should add pain sounds for when you kill the tentacle.

-So far, I feel there hasn't been enough action. I love to explore, but I think there should be more aliens spawning from portals.

-I also mentioned before something about sprinting and the flashlight. It is fun to be able to run forever and not to worry about saving power for your flashlight, but this should be optional. I know Gordon uses a different HEV suit in Black Mesa, but I am used to the one in HL2, and I think it plays quite better than in HL1. I think limited sprint and flashlight is a good gameplay feature.

Other than that, I must say the rest has met my expectations, the only things that have exceeded them is the graphics and sounds.
I think there's some more stuff to improve, but my main complaint is about the game being too easy.
