Absolutely. Think Colossi-like beams, like you see in the movies, as well as missiles.

It's not dead - we're just trying to figure out if we're going to be able to make it for SC2.
We want to release it as a full mod, not as a single map, which is what Blizzard has limited us to for now.
No, it won't mess with the actual Starcraft game. And yes, you will be able to uninstall it safely.
Yes there are! No matter what, I'll be continuing the project for some game in the hopes that we can get a real mod out there. I'm confident that many of our staff would follow as well.
But right now, we believe that Blizzard will enable us to make the mod for SCII.
No, we will only have the Republic and the Separatists (CIS).
We want to make it feel like Star Wars, not just Starcraft II with different art. Hopefully we'll be able to do that by editing things like how resources work, how units are built, etc, it just depends on the coding limitations.
I'll put up the AT-TE a little later today, hopefully. Right now I can't show you a finished texture, only a model, but it's really up to Blizzard when we begin to start churning out work again. We don't want to waste our efforts on a game that won't ever allow us to do what we want ingame, so we're biding our time for now.
And yes, the sculps are used for cinematics, normal maps, and all other possible types of maps (ambient occlusion, displacement, specular, etc), it just depends on which ones the SC2 engine supports.
He has a special ability that allows him to fight with four arms temporarily. It operates sort of like a temporary power-up, like the Marine's stimpack ability.
We'll put out an update soon, but yes, we're playing and testing out certain aspects of the game.
No SDK yet, so we can't start coding, but we will as soon as we can.
Well, what I can tell you is that we're huge fans of the movies. We like to see cool things like the droids being put out of the transports.
I don't know what the engine will let us do, but I can tell you one thing - We already have the MTT modeled and animated where the droids on the rack are placed on the ground and activated. Just like in Episode 1.
We are looking for somebody who can code a website for us! I have already made the designs and images, so we need somebody who can code the HTML/javascript required (rollover images and such).
TiJil has made most of the models shown here, and I have textured most of them. Dr. Nick modeled and skinned the LAAT, in addition to texturing most of the Super Battle Droid.
Right now we are making all of the models, textures, and animations for the mod. We figure if we get a head start on that, we can minimize the time that people have to wait for the mod once the game is released.
If we get most of the art done before the game is even released, then we can bring you guys a mod release even more quickly, and focus on coding, in-game balance, and fun missions.
From what we've heard, SC2 is based off of the WC3 engine, which I've been told was great for modding. All in all, I think that it'll be a great platform for any mod, especially a SW mod.
We plan to release this mod like a normal TC - but we have many other options in addition to that. We could make FPS-like missions, where you play as Grievous with a couple MagnaGuards and have to kill the Clones and Obi-wan on Utapau, or you could play as Anakin and storm the Temple. No other game can do that!
Just for you, I'll upload a shot of the modeled AT-TE next week. Also, I believe we have a skinner working on it at the moment. I'll be sure to let you guys know when it's finished, and provide a render as soon as possible. :)
Our plans were to have all clones start out as the Episode 2 version - then when they get upgraded to Phase 2 (Episode 3) they become the clones in Episode 3 with the paint and armor style you see in those renders.
Original scene by Ian Foster, texture and lighting edits by Jack Peterman.
You are indeed remembering our animation of Grievous! His animations, aside from Yoda's, are my favorite.
Thanks for the comments!
Added a new render of Plo Koon with a tunic instead of robes! Keep in mind that it is not yet skinned.
Keep in mind this version of Plo is not yet skinned! We are working on a skin for this, so stay tuned in the future for a finished version.
Thanks. And I assure you our animations are spectacular. Have you seen the video of Yoda's animations? Search Youtube for "Galaxy at War Yoda" or visit this link: Youtube.com. Watch it until the end.
All of the staff are coming back. Finals are near, so some will be busy, but TiJil and I (who do the majority of the models/textures/animations) definitely will be back and we have lots of other work that hasn't been seen yet!
Check out our new render of the Jedi Plo Koon!
That's an interesting idea. I hadn't thought of that before, and I really do want to release this as one, cohesive mod, with many many maps to play on.
However, now that you brought that up, I'm sure we can do something like that, where it's all packed into one map. It's a really good idea, i'll keep it in mind.
We'll probably end up doing both, now that I think about it.
New screens coming in the next week, stay tuned!
Many members of our mod staff were excellent modders of the original Starcraft; furthermore, the SC II beta is out and it is moddable (at least to my knowledge). We have the utmost confidence that we won't have much trouble getting the SC II engine to do what we want with it.
I really do believe that SC II is the perfect platform for a Star Wars modification.
Thanks! I really worked hard on the dirt and weathering, and I'm very glad you like it.
Yes, we're still in development. We're waiting until SCII comes out to publicly continue.
Major A Payne? Glad to see you, been a long time since the IA2 days. We've sort of temporarily halted work until SC2 comes out, but we'll be back for sure then.
And the staff of this mod did most of the work for Imperial Assault II. I was the lead skinner there.
