This would be perfect if combined with SRP. Please make it happen!

Thank you. While you're here: Is the option changer from 2.0 deprecated or what is the reason it is not included in 2.1?

Hi there,
while AA2 is my favourite SoC mod, I'm not really comfortable with some of the new NPC models, e.g. Wolf or the Freedom guard at the Army Warehouse entrance. I thought that simply deleting for example Wolf's textures in \textures\Aaz\wolf would produce a change (at least make the game crash, since the old textures probably wouldn't fit the new model and I couldn't find a mesh with wolf's name to delete) but he doesn't look any different.

Is there an easy way to determine which assets a new NPC model belongs to and revert them back? I know, I know, you're proud of your work, and rightly so, but as you provide a lot of support for changing the mod in other places, maybe you could help me out here, too.

Marvin42 - - 12 comments @ Deus Ex: Revision

Hi there,
I have a question about DX modding, especially when it comes to a megamod such as Revision. What I would like to do is put every file from each mod in its own folder (so no root\HDTP\System and overriding in root\System, just \HDTP\System, same with Revision) and then load each mod in the proper order through Kentie's launcher. Finally, correct additional files (*.int for example) are copied to root\System as those are not recognized by the data folder override mechanism of DX.

I've managed to get NV, HDTP, Revision and Shifter running together in the following order: NV --> HDTP --> Revision --> Revision Shifter Addon --> Shifter. In the end, I copy the *.rev and *.int files from Revision or Shifter to root\System.

What am I missing here? Obviously there's a reason to provide an additional Revision.exe and *.inis. So far I've not encountered any problem and the game seems to run smoothly.

What if I ask really, really nicely? At least a new AtmosFear? The textures would look incredible with DX10+11 effects added.

Okay, so when can we expect AA2 for CoP? :)

There's only one kind of M16 and the detector costs so much because it's unique. You can't buy it.

I heartily agree, but not everyone follows that advice. Also, AA2 is not a hardcore mod which is specifically advertised to non-beginners only, at least that's how I view it.

BTW: Is it normal that most of the dialogue outside a text window is not subtitled?

Damn, that makes two useless top-tier NATO weapons now, you monsters! ;)

The description should be changed, then.

Thought so too, but maybe you can do something about being declared a criminal. A Merc squad that scouts the bar makes total sense, the stalkers going apeshit not so much.

Great to hear about the changes.

Any comment on the FN-F2000? Here's the save, everything is in the chest:

Some comments on gameplay changes and additions:
- THANK YOU for the M110. Whoever developed/implemented that gun deserves a medal.
- Vanilla X18 is simply perfect. Haunting atmosphere but almost no monster encounters - everything plays out in your head. The problem: It works only once. I guess that's the reason X18 was altered so drastically. Right now, it's continually challenging and fresh for veteran players although of course it lacks the dread and the feeling of absolute solitude of the original. It would be nice if you could revert X18 to it's initial state and provide both versions in the installer. Then, people could choose which one they would rather play and you could recommend vanilla X18 for people who've never played SoC before.
- Same goes for the Wish Granter's voice. Yes, it might be annoying to people who've played SoC dozens of times, but it's an incredibly important piece of atmosphere for that level when you traverse it for the first time.
- The number of stashes I received so far is about three to four times lower than in vanilla SoC. While that makes sense when looking at the economy in total (as stated above, money is far too abundant), it makes for disappointing gameplay. It's the equivalent of a linear corridor shooter which branches off every few metres but practically never hides anything useful or exciting outside of the main corridor.

Overall, this is by far the best and most polished Stalker mod I've ever played. Graphics and sound are astonishing, you really hit the perfect spot when modeling the bleak, desolated and hostile world of the Zone. Gameplay can be tweaked a little (bandits are too good shooters) but is still as solid as ever. Thanks!

Some bugs I encountered:
- Between X16 and the Brain Scorcher missions, a Merc squad spawned in the Bar right in front of me when I was travelling from the Army Warehouse to the Bar. I could not even shoot them because I was immediately declared a criminal.
- The FN-F2000 grenade launcher does not work. When I press the launcher mode key, nothing happens (I have a save if you want). Any idea how to fix this? I want to go to Pripyat right now. ;)

Some suggestions:
- If possible, think about decreasing low-level monster and bandit spawn in the Garbage and in Rostok. Rostok especially gets extremely convoluted when Mercs AND Bandits AND dogs AND rodents simultaneously spawn at every important point in the level (exit to the Bar, entrance to train yard, plus getting shot from the guaranteed Merc squad spawn from the unfinished concrete building).
- Either make money useful or drastically lower the amount of money gained. The most useful and important weapons and armors can all be found or gained in quests. I've got 500k rubles now and I only ever spent some on repairs, a few medkits and shotgun ammunition.
