That would have been this, but re-packed AFTER the San Andreas verification and uploaded to torrent sites stripping our names from the build. Yeah, that's one way to also get rid of motivation. ;)

You can find them in models\cdimages\peds.img
No it does not, that was on the planned things to do, but since this project is no longer active, that will not be happening.
At first most of the team worked on it because we wanted to provide you guys with a proper port, but as with most things in life, real work gets in the way, one of the people working on the project is now actually working for a real game dev studio now! The donation money was used to try and keep some people working on the project, but once that stopped, other actual paying commitments took priority and thus the project itself was constantly pushed back or side lined.
Those of us who didn't accept any money, it eventually felt like it was only one or two of us working on the project alone for weeks on end, and that's a lot of stress, which eventually just caused us to give up.
I know right? We wish it wasn't, but there's a LOT more people who want this than there are those who actually want to help out and in the end, we just couldn't get the help we needed and the project just fell off, once it gets to the point where it feels like stressful work to be working on this, it REALLY isn't worth it.
Thanks for the comments! But unfortunately we did meet our bounds, most of the team left and no one else was interested in helping out despite us asking for weeks, in the end our main coder eventually left after he got a job at an actual game dev studio.
I'm afraid BETA4 (Silver Palmetto) was cancelled due to lack of people willing to help, there was a leaked WIP Dev Build leaked on the forums though but it contains no additional missions as it came from the texture artist build.
For now, yes, we couldn't get anyone else to help us and our coder left after he got a job at a real game dev studio (we're proud of that actually!).
The installer requires San Andreas to be installed.
Sadly there is no progress on missions due to difficulties in working with them, map work has gone well as has other features, but we are aware people are only interested in the missions, so, sadly, no progress, and now that GTAV is out on PC, there's going to be little interest in GTA3-era modding for the next few months, so for now, project is pretty much dead/on hold.
Hey guys, first off Happy Holidays! Second, bad news, we don't know where the project is at the moment as we are dealing with some legal issues surrounding it, we're hoping to come to a point where we can continue to work on this mod, but we are unsure of when we can do this.
We need to stay compatible with the Steam version because that's where a high amount of users will come from, we like to try and keep things as simple as possible for people, and most average Steam users curious about Modding might be put off with large instructions that require them to go hunting for files.
No, we're gonna actually hold back and not say Soon, I doubt we ever did, things have been put back a lot, the San Andreas Patch on Steam, the work that needs to be done on SilentPatchSA, the work that's going into GInputSA and that one team member has left. Past few weeks have been crazy when it comes to San Andreas on PC.
Just as a quick warning, the installer might fail for some of you if you are attempting to install this mod on top of the newly patched San Andreas on Steam, the short solution would be to just use a different gta-sa.exe (find one yourself, most will do) which should help the installer carry on.
Mission Progress goes MUCH slower as it includes a lot more reworking and rewriting to the game to try and get it exact to the original, plus we've been lazy updating progress anyway, map work in mainly done, just corrections and remastering is being done now.
Sounds like the game didn't install correctly or some files were corrupt somewhere.
What more can we do? We ARE still working on it, but doing things right takes time, if you want a sloppy rush job then there are many other mods out there already, hell, even Rockstar seem to be OK with doing crappy rush jobs these days (see GTA SA "Remaster" on Xbox 360).
If you meant in terms of progress, we're still a long way off from 100% (and truth be told Rockstar would probably shut us down if we got close anyway!), right now the map is done and is in remastering phase, which is where Ash is reworking textures and improving the texture quality, size, and fixing texture glitches left behind by Rockstar. The Mall area is still being worked on, you'd be amazed at the amount of bugs left in that place! A lot of work has gone into the engine this time around, hopefully we've done enough to at least try and make it feel modern to a standard a lot of PC gamers expect these days. We should probably update the map progress image at some point, that is very outdated now.
use updater.exe in the "updater" folder in the games directory.
So did you guys find the secret car then?
Sadly we're doing a lot of things and changes to the engine so even in its old state it wouldn't be possible to convert to Mobile, you'd have to rip the files and convert them over yourself.
You've completed all the storyline missions on offer in this build :) Try some of the side missions.
Still requires San Andreas as it's used as a base to take some files and rework (plus it's a safety net to at LEAST make sure you guys have San Andreas so it's not like we're giving this away for free) ;)
Once we've fixed the current weapons, sure, we'd like to bring back the landmine.
Yes we're still working on it, we just haven't been on ModDB for a while!
We're focusing on what we can, the next build of the game is mainly engine work and map stuff though, only a handful of new missions.
There's already another team doing that actually.
Storyline Missions are still up to the end of Chapter 1, the next build will only have a few extra story missions as the main focus was on engine work and getting the map fully completed and at least the east island area remastered and bug fixed.
100& you say? As in, you've done everything in the build? Side Missions included? Luckily a lot of the bugs you've pointed have already been fixed in the upcoming version :) And VCS DID have reflections, we're hoping we can get closer to the one the games uses at some point.
