Then don't open it with Nexus mod manager? Right click, open with whatever zip program you have.

Crash every time I kill Shenk in Hell: Unhandled Exception: Access Violation c0000005

Tried 3 times, this is with a sorc and I'm using the D2SE version. I will try a full re-install. EDIT: same after re-install and after switching to the non-d2se launcher.

Super looking forward to dropping the quivers!

The Bowzon seems to be in a pretty decent place I would say, with one exception being the early (normal and nightmare) gameplay as a physical bowzon. Because the skills are so dependent on having a very high base damage weapon, you're basically forced into either cold or fire + magic arrow, until you drop a bow typical of Act 5 NM/early hell. Whereas with almost every other classes skills, I can build where ever I want and get at least passable damage.

Sadly this is the same in non-modded D2 as well, perhaps it could be remedied by adding a small amount of raw damage to Guided, Strafe and Multi? Would have to be a rather small amount as the physical skills in the very late game are quite strong once you actually get a decent bow and this could make them a little OP. Just some thoughts.

EDIT: though saying this, I haven't tried phys bowzon in 2-3 patches, so things may have changed since then. I'll probably do another run through at some point.

Will give that necro build a try at some point, thanks! I've been playing Necro, Bowzon and Sorc. Finding it very hard to find the damage needed for hell with the sorc, outside of lightning. I think I need more +skills as every light immune I find I will have to run away from, even with a build focused on fire or cold.

I think I found a bug, though maybe it's intended? Whenever an item grants +X to fire skills, Elemental Spirit, Infernal Stride and Hydra do not get the increase.

I think you did a pretty much perfect job balancing the poison creepers! Well done. Giving the sorc a try at the moment, the class I play the least, so this should be fun. I'm really looking forward to trying out Thunderstorm, as it's always been one of my favorite skills as a concept, but to use it in vanilla d2 is kinda silly. Can't wait to hit the level and use it!

I would (personally) change the gem color as well, either back to how it was or make them all one color e.g. one that stands out from everything else. Red maybe? Or purple. I've basically given up on sapphires in this mod as it takes too much effort to pick them out of the 15 other magic items on the screen, I'd rather just not bother..and topaz are a troll drop, too.

I do like the idea of what you have done with them thematically, but I think it just doesn't work well.

I think that the Druids poison creepers are a little too powerful when compared to other classes starting skills, especially against the stronger and harder to hit enemies around the early maps. Like the Barb and Pally are nowhere near as strong, hell even the necro summons aren't as powerful.

Also one thing I would love is an optional patch that reverts the item text back to the standard white colors, as the rainbow-ness is super difficult to look at and see relevant stats quickly. This is just a personal taste thing, but yeah, it's the one thing that really puts me off this mod.

Funnily enough the Devastate skill was what made me pick the barb to play at first, will be super looking forward to using it. Barb looks like he will be really strong once he levels up a bit.

Thanks for the quick response! Yeah I think I got a little salty about the mages, after dying when near 10 at once were all shooting at my Barb while trying to kill bishibosh, which was basically insta killing me. Then I hit a boss spawn shrine which of course turned a mage into a boss with cold enchanted. Fun times.

I will play through the mod over the next days/weeks and keep track of any bugs/suggestions etc and be sure to get them to you. Congrats on the work so far, this mod looks truly amazing.

That sounds correct as to the details. It happened twice, however I have completely uninstalled D2 and the mod, and now reinstalled them. I guessed that perhaps my previous installations were conflicting with the mod, as I did have a few different installations. Have tried again with the druid and did not encounter the bug again.

Another question, are the returned mages in the Cold Plains supposed to be ridiculously difficult to fight as a melee character starting out? They do far too much damage and are so high level that you only have a chance to hit of about 50-60%. On top of that, because they are so far above the character level for the area, you get very little exp for actually killing them.

Hello! This mod looks super interesting, so I started a Druid and gave it a whirl. However I quickly had an error:

All I had done in the mod so far was put twp skill points into Poison Creeper and reached the Den of Evil. While I really wanna give this mod a proper playthrough, I would hate to deal with errors like this. Do you have any ideas on a fix or workaround?
