Ahoy! I'm the developer of @[Hyperventila: The Game](games:hyperventila:71081), a space RPG set in my Hyperventila universe. I also keep an eye on the Humour Satire Parody group, I follow the modding community and watch game productions that have peaked my interest. Feel free to go through my blogs or image gallery if you want to get a glimpse of what I do. As always, have a nice day!

Report RSS Rank 20, AddonDB (Is there an AddonDB?)

Posted by on

Well, it's my twentieth rank on ModDB and I thought it would be a good time to post this blog where I look back on all the things that have happened since Dec 10 2009 where I accidentally tripped over ModDB and hurt my foot. (there will be no more bad jokes in this blog)

One of the first things I did was write a review of a Battlestar Galactica game called Beyond the Red Line. I actually got a comment on that review by SinKing who is now a trusted member of the SPACE 3102 team.
At the time I was a simple person who thought that the best game to mod was STARWARS: Battle of Endor. I had multiple mods that were almost finished but there always was one problem, the mod sucked. That's why I stopped modding STARWARS: Battle of Endor and continued on my 3d modeling career, that was when I created VITRIOL 3D on ModDB, it's a group for 3d modelers and it has also grown immensely the past months. Most of the members I've invited myself, this is why almost every member of VITRIOL 3D is a 3d modeler.

I also decided to upload one of my mods who I thought was my best, this mod was the M40 X pro A.C.E game (I've been forced to write that long name for such a long time that SPACE 3102 came as a huge relief). This game is the base of SPACE 3102, it was too simple though because the STARWARS: Battle of Endor game didn't offer much option except what the original game could do.
I have no regrets about making the mod, it was an excellent start for me in the modding world.

To keep a long story short we are already in the month March, 2010. At this time Bruno R. Marcos, the genius who created the free Battle of Endor and Battle of Yavin games, released the source code to his free (but not finished) game-maker upon the request from me and many others.
Me and another guy called Aled Owen decided to continue on the gamemaker, he was a programmer and I, as a very interesting change, was going to design the website for the gamemaker. Naturally, every project evolves and we ended up making a game, not a gamemaker. This game was no other than Battle of the Coral Sea, a WW2 3d shooter.

During the time I've spend on ModDB, I've also gained many new friends such as .BloodRaven, SinKing, KiwiWarrior, all the members of my teams and all the others that have clicked "Become Friends" during the past 5-6 months.
It's funny to see what one website can do for one person.
I also think that I will look back on this post one day and laugh.

Thank you ModDB for being the best website in the world!
