The fact that the game scales so wonderfully, from large tabletop strategy views that make you feel like a 18th-century general to minute tactical battles where you can watch individual troops load their guns and fire, is a rare trait among strategy games. I'll play it again and again, slowly conquering the world a turn at a time.
