Can't wait to see the surplus/imported ammunition and mutant hunting/cooking(ish) implemented. Despite being relatively minor in some regards, both would make a pretty huge change in how I play.

It would actually be worth it to hunt muties for one thing....

Took me a few hours of research but appearently it was due to steam's version of the xengine being garbage. Found a crack and popped it in (renamed previous version "old") and now it loads fast.

Playing 1.0, seems to run fine once it gets goin, but man...does it take forever to load into the game, or into the menu when I hit escape or reload from death.

Is this just a general issue with the mod? Something to be improved on in 2.0? Or is the Xray engine not responding all the damn time something I can tweak?

ARRGH. YOUR MOD! IT IS AMAZING!

And as of yet, incomplete. How long have you been working on this thing? I wish we could give something back, but as I understand it, it's against mod DB policy to allow profit or donations from mods =/

It's a damn shame you can't get paid for this, otherwise I'm sure the money getting throwing at my screen would get the mod finished faster.

Just a thought, if even a whim. I know you're adding an absolute boatload of weapons to this mod, and having only witnessed a sampling, I doubt it needs more.
That being said, I've been playing metro 2033 and (not surprisingly) the weapons seem like they would be a shoe in for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
Sure, they can smuggle weapons in, but some of the creative designs in metro seem like just the kind of stuff you would find from survivalists in the zone.

Just persistent enough should be nice imo. I like how it works currently in that they get back up once unless you put them down and put in a few slugs to make sure they stay down. Maybe some could get up again? Or simply have a random timer rather than a predictable one?

Hrm...probably to a degree. I would think they might send you off, but otherwise would treat you like a normal STALKER considering you are undercover in a sense.

Most people in the zone probably wouldn't be willing to help you if they knew you were military, most would probably attempt to kill you. A lot of them had to deal with the military to get in (ie, getting shot at or bribing their way through) to the zone.
So I would think after sending you off they would have to keep up the appearance of treating you like anyone else, that is if the grunts at the gate are even informed that you are military as well.

Even if spiders aren't toggled, it should be fairly easy to remove them by simply navigating to and deleting the proper folder. I did the same thing some time ago to get rid of perma-hostile bandits as they were so alert and accurate I had to crawl around everywhere just to survive, and even then I got torn apart by the ninja dogs <_>

At the very least, smrtphoneusr could probably give file paths to certain bits if you don't want them. I expect something more like a checkbox in the downloader though.

I know what you mean! This mod is virtually an entirely new game (Albeit in reality the current 3 combined) and so playing the "outdated" version when the massive, shiny new one is hopefully releasing soon (though nothing necessarily points to that) feels almost like a waste of time.

If the spiders aren't optional to begin with, I will probably be removing their file XD.

Giant irradiated spiders, at night. F*** that. D:

Ah, never mind what I said about cordon, got a larger image and found it just above the marshlands. A nice location considering things get rather busy there on in.

This zone really needs some epic events based on and around it. A few pointed and mysterious and/or terrifying references to build up the suspense, a climatic battle....hell I'd even make a few mutants and anomalies specifically for this zone!

An excellent example of the deceptively beautiful and yet desolate and deadly landscape of the zone at its best. Hot tubbing anyone?

I'm just wondering how the hell these things will get stopped even if they enter a populated area D:

....then again, this might present an entertaining way of dealing with those nasty mercenary and bandit camps. >:D

This shot was taken moments before thousands of massive mutated spiders scuttled from the darkest corners of the room, causing the taker of the shot to defecate in his pants profusely.

Ahh, this is the way it always should have been. I'm curious though, was cordon cut off the map? Based on the way you decided to have things set up I imagine it would be below jupiter and zaton, which are currently on the very bottom.

I'm getting all giddy just thinking of all the zones to play through and "toys" to play through them with!

Oh. Great. Giant mutant spiders. Way to ensure I never venture into tunnels again. -_-;;

This mod sounds great! I'm running the supposed 4.1 and loving it thus far and everything to come sounds awesome, just hoping the completed mod comes with a manual!
