Has some really bad crash problems that I cant believe made it into the Part 1 release. Seems to have something to do with the APC enemies, If you save and then load on a map with an APC your game will crash EVERY TIME. There is 1 APC that will crash your game immediately when it spots you. Really ruined the experience having to sv_cheats 1 etc. There are several other mapping errors that I encountered as well but none of these are game breaking. The level design Is pretty good overall but most of the set pieces from the original have been cut in favor of more generic Black Mesa esc locations.
Other than that its not bad, But Its not a remake, its a re-imagening for sure. In the developers quest to make this mod as cannon as possible its lost a lot of the charm which made the original such a classic mod.
Overall I wish the developers best of luck with this, I just hope they fix the issues with Part 1 before part 2 comes out.
