One of the best mods I've played for ShoC. It doesn't have an extreme amount of new weapons, but the ones that are in the game feel great. I also love the AI improvements (though NPCs throwing grenades is something I can live without in any Stalker game). The AI is pretty clever at times, and their reaction times are super quick in most instances. It makes combat on Master difficulty quite the challenge.
The graphics are also quite nice. It gives a slight Misery feel (I'm sure some would rather not see another Misery comparison), but at the same time, it doesn't feel so dull and depressing. It just feels like a slightly different from vanilla season in the Zone.
I also love the fact that it includes Russian-only VOs. Something I really appreciate in my Stalker mods because English dubs are absolutely terrible.
All in all, it's a fantastic mod. Definitely worthy of the praise.
It's not even a mod... it's a fully featured stand alone remake of Shadow of Chernobyl, with tons of new locations, and pretty much every existing location modified to be larger, and more detailed. If you like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series at all... you owe it to yourself to play Lost Alpha.
