Anymore work on this?
You have a lot to be proud of with this mod. You've spent many years and thousands of hours on it and it's beautiful. As long as you found enjoyment in developing the mod, then it was never a waste. I have the feeling you may yet catch the H:C bug yet again sometime in the future.
"Unit appearance doesn't change with veterancy but with armor upgrades. That's the more logical approach."
I agree. What if headgear denoted veterancy, while shield and body texture denoted upgrades?
Nice. Looks like Jabba's palace from ROTJ.
The UI additions are very nice. Need that kind of customization in the core game, for sure!
Use the new A25 terrain textures, my guys. :)
Mod page reopened. Can download the latest Alpha 23 release here:
Those are just placeholder art assets until new art assets can be made. :)
I think I will reopen the mod once the devs have taken the core game to beta.
Pretty sure that's just a terrain texture beneath them in this shot.
Yes, it does. :)
The major differences between the Numidians and the Garamantes:
Numidians
- Horse Cavalry-heavy
- Some "Romanized" units
- War Elephants
Garamantes
- Camelry-heavy
- Rely mostly on skirmishers
- Champion Cavalry could be the game's first Camel champion.
They'd both share an architectural set, with maybe a different Civic Center and Fortress. Same team bonuses and civ bonuses and same special building.
I plan to make 3, 4, 5, and 6-player versions before A23 is released.
The clubs are temporarily Mauryan Indian clubs. They'll eventually have wooden clubs.
"*XLightningStormL suggested you rename Berbers to Numidians. But then the Garamantines are Berbers. So maybe just one Berber faction?"
Could be:
Berbers (Garamantines)
Berbers (Numidians)
Similar to:
Romans (Principates)
Romans (Republicans)
A kindly reminder. Here are the paths for different operating systems for installing mods for 0 A.D.:
- Linux : ~/.local/share/0ad/mods
- OSX : ~/Library/Application\ Support/0ad/mods
- Windows : "Documents" or "My Documents" Folder => My Games\0ad\mods\
Unzip the Delenda Est zip to one of those paths. In Windows it should look something like this:

To add to your list, some other great additions would be:
Dominate Romans -- i.e., late Romans/early Byzantines
Thracians
Lusitanians
Parthians -- nemesis of the Principate Romans
Sassanids -- nemesis of the Dominate Romans
Xiongnu -- nomadic nemesis of the Han Chinese
Dacians
Sarmations -- similar features to the Scythians, but heavier cavalry
Garamantines
Numidians
Hmm, I think the best I could do is use them as mercenaries for a Lusitanian faction.
New music and a lot of textures.
Many of the Kushite names are placeholders. The Kushites are a work in progress and are being made in collaboration with several others, chiefly Sundiata, Balduin, Stanislas, and LordGood. Check out progress of the Kushites here!
Also, many of the Kushite names are placeholders, as that civ is not completely done yet.
