This is a config file which will mod the camera settings to make the game isometric instead of 3D. The game will look much like an old-school 2D RTS. This will only work on maps which have distance fog turned off, otherwise the entire map will be shrouded in fog. Luckily, Delenda Est has 3 skirmish maps available with the distance fog turned completely off and you can play with this isometric camera configuration.
First, a comparison:

Installation
Download the ZIP file. Copy/unzip the files to this directory wherever 0 A.D. is installed:
\binaries\data\config
If you already have a local.cfg file, then backup the contents of that file and overwrite the contents of local.cfg with the contents of local-isometric.cfg. The contents of local-isometric.cfg must be copied into and replace the contents of local.cfg. Local.cfg is the file that the game will read.
If you do not already have a local.cfg file at that location, then simply rename local-isometric.cfg to local.cfg and launch the game.
The three maps included in DE compatible with isometric are Miletus Peninsula 2D, Punjab 2D, and Siwa Oasis 2D.
I include local-default.cfg simply as an example of what my normal config is when playing the game on my system. I include it for folks who might want to play around with it.
Important
Never edit the default.cfg file in that location. It houses all the default configuration information for the game. However, you can copy lines of code from default.cfg and put them into local.cfg and edit them at your leisure. The game loads default.cfg first and then loads any lines of code in local.cfg and overwrites them for that session. You can essentially edit any of the configuration/settings of the game this way as long as you do so in local.cfg and not default.cfg. Only edit the local.cfg.
Great idea. I love oldschool RTS camera. Thanks!
I love isometric. way better.
