Nice work!
This looks great! I'm a huge fan of the old school camera angle.
Great! I like it very much, especially the beginning.
Nice doors. I honestly cannot remember where they are.
Nice! I like it.
On my PC (Vista 64) the game crashes when I reach a certain point in the first hallway.
If you do what you described in this text I think the game is going to be great!
The Screenshots look like it is going to be a great game!
Agree, but more tending to 3.
I would say option 1. It is an alpha, so nothing has to be perfect, not even all features have to to be implemented. You get feedback and bug reports. Negative reviews can happen (they should not because it is an alpha), I would not give anything about trolls or hates.
In the end it is your choice, but I would like to play the alpha :)
I like the Health system. Feels more like the older series. God work!
I think it would be hard to balance, since you have to disable vehicles for the survivors.
I found this tutorial about changing fonts and colour and so on:
Moddb.com
This one I do not understand, but maybe it helps:
Developer.valvesoftware.com
The first one cannot bring an RE style HUD, but I think it´s a start. For example in my opinion the aux power bar damages the atmosphere.
I hope I could help a bit.
I do not know much about modding in HL2, but it would be nice if you change the health HUD somehow.
Did you model the zombie yourself? It looks great.
I like that message! I am looking forward to this.
Thanks, I thought I missed the gun. I will try the new version soon.
I did not play the latest version, and I did not finish yet.
Some things I noticed (not latest version, as said):
1. Sound of walking on forest ground can be better, walking on carpet sounds bad (if it is not my pc messing up).
2. I got trapped by the zombie on the first floor, but it did not attack me.
3. Flashlight A and D key direction seem to be inverted (mouse not).
Some Suggestions:
1. Loading screen is good, if possible I would like one like in the old resident evil parts (great for atmosphere)
2. The background music sometimes could have been longer before starting again (just my opinion).
3. It would be good if read documents can be found in the 'documents' section of the inventory, not only pick up ones.
That is what I wanted to say so far, I will continue to test the game when I have time again.
4. Maybe add some dialogues for pictures on the wall, statues and so on. It betters up the envoirement.
Last thing, I did not manage to find a gun (I'm at the cemetery keeper's house). Did I miss it, and if yes, can you tell me where I can find it? I cannot move on without a weapon.
You are doing a great job, besides little possibilities of improvement.
Keep up the good work!
Maybe you should explan what "needed potential" means. Do you need a coder, a mapper, etc. ? I unfortunately have no skills in modding at all, otherwise I would have helped out a bit.
Thinking about that one question arose:
How will NPCs behave towards "related" corpses? If a patrol finds a dead guard, will they loot, or will they be alerted. They cannot attack you if they find the corpse ten minutes later, so what will they do?
So can you leave an unlooted corpse as a trap for other NPCs?
Please pay attention to the NPCs inventory if possible. Hunting animals everyday and looting might easyly overload them. Maybe you already took care of that, but I wanted to make sure I do not cross an NPC with a 300 kg bag.
The corridor at 0:30 reminds me of the Resident Evil REmake. First time I played I ran this corridor several times with no ammo and 3 zombies. Sweet memories... Very nice work! I am waiting for this eagerly.
Nette Idee, ich hoffe ihr schafft das!
I did not understand the text on your website. If I do Alpha fund, do I get the full game when it is released?
If you click on HD and zoom a bit in you can see that it is hanging on the wall. It confused me at first, too.
Uroborus is based of the iron maiden, isn´t it?
That is true, but maybe that could be a challenge? You can only fight enemies well at certain points.
I never modded a game, but is it possible to implement the old auto aim? Then it be possible to fight enemies the original way.
