Actually its a common technique for artist to mirror the eyes, because its a pain to get them to look a like. however, he could have moved things around a bit to avoid the split iris problem.

Looks very cool, im afraid im no better at animating than you are. but id love to see this ingame.
on the texturenote though. she might look a bit hmm... to clean... and quite pale.. but other than that the design is interesting :)
also, kudos for working with blender ^^
I think the Leaves need to be partially shaded, just to add some more detail. as ceriux noted you could also go the pokemon snap type :)but looks good so far, even though the moss is a bit repetetive
We are currently investigating other distribution channels for DS. and we will definitively check Indievania, along with desura. Thank you for the tip :)
That we did. A slight typo there but corrected we have ;)
Maybe you should ask Ramsey by the Cementery :)
The numbers of the dial doesnt matter, what you need to do is to follow the dialogue, and calculate the numbers from thoes
You might need to return there while Kent is Occupied with a small errand. and do a simple break in.
These Bugs should be corrected in the new patch already released for Gamersgate customers, we are currently waiting for the adventure shop to incorporate the patch.
Maybe you should find someone in the village to talk to, someone who might know anything about the musicbox, or the history of Calmwood ;)
The patch will be baked into each Online shop's own Patching system, we wont release a stand alone patch due to compability Issues.
We are aware of the blackscreen problem, and we are currently looking into it to fix it as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience.
Does this happen everytime you try to start the game?. Is your Ati Drivers up to date?.
The grammar nazi has spoken and thus i have corrected.
@Mkilbride: As ZaliaS explained, the exchange rate did come into play when we set the price. The reason we haven't adjusted prices is that it simply wouldn't be a fair deal for those that will buy in Euro or Pounds.
On another note. I am not sure how much of DS you have seen, but if you haven't tried the demo i recommend you do so.
Now please keep things nice and civilized in the comments.
Dark Secret will Cost 13£ (20 USD or 15 Euro depending on location)
Very nice texturing work there :) and may the yiff be with you ^^
The demo you have installed is quite outdated and while our graphics has been upgraded we have taken great care to optimize the game. some areas will even run faster in the final release due to bug fixes and new optimization code.
Thank you :)
The video was not intended as a tutorial. but as you said only to bring more insight in how we work.
I would love to make a more in dept video, but there is already plenty of good ones out there to get you started.
If i make one (that is a very big IF) then i would do that on my freetime.
Thanks again for your comment and feedback :)
What, it's over?
Im Not perfectly sure what your question is about im afraid.
When will the full version be released?
We are aiming for a December release
I really like this type of game.
One critique is you might do well to have someone whose first language is English do a proofread to get the tense of many of the texts in proper order.
We do Have people looking at the dialogue and text in the game to spellcheck it and such, so the final version will have alot less spelling errors and grammatical faults :)
We will :) And it seems we had a troll adding words to the dialougue and messing it up abit. but thoes will be adressed as soon as possible :)
There will be a few hidden items there indeed :)
That is somewhat the point ;) that sun creeps everyone out at the office aswell XD
We where planning to include Voice actors, but due to budget constraints it was not included in this title.
Well lets see. to create the nature and such we have a terraintool with brushes to place static meshes, planes or draw onto the terrain.
We also have tools to alter the terrain itself, lowering and hightening it for example.
i hope that answers your question. :)
Ah i see what you mean. will have a look at that since it might be mipmapping issues.
we did Exclude Jumping from the game for a few reasons, one of them is that Jumping doesnt add/nor is requred for the player to complete the tasks ingame. It also assists in avoiding collission errors and it feels out of place in terms of atmosphere and realism that we are aiming for.
People usually doesnt jump around too much :)
Crouching has yet to be added, but might pop in if we feel that it would add something to the gameplay.
Thank you for giving us Feedback, and we do try to not limiting the player too much in any way. :)
We are working hard to give the best possible experience in This title, and will keep up the work in future productions aswell
Greetings shadow, and thanks for the feedback :)
will not those down so we can fix it in the upcomming patch.
one question though. textures looks bumpy? i think i need abit more details about that one. the other one has been brought up before and should be easy to fix :)
the performance on the demo is subpar to say the least. but we are working on optimising, along with a patch from unity :)
again thanks for the help. and i hope that we can polish this one up until release.
well, a simple way of finding out your specs is to post your directX info.
go into run in the start menu, and type in DXdiag. this will start up directX control system, now under system information at the first page visible. thats the info we would like to have.
please either post it here or send it to us in a private message or email.
:)
We might have overdone it a tad. but we like to take everything one step further :)
glad to finally see an update from you guys. i am greatly looking forward for this title. :)
best of luck with future endevors!
Jinxy
