Just wanted to give feedback on what I have observed from the crashing. The campaign, at least the Allies does crash pretty frequently. While it's possible to make it through missions without crashing it does happen. Early in the game it's not a big deal but later it does get frustrating.

I've noticed these times the game seems to crash in campaign:

1. Right after the mission introduction where you are given the objectives (before the mission begins to load) the game will crash with no error.

2. When loading a save game after you have already been playing. (You can only load a game right when you first boot up Red Alert).

3. When saving the game, seemingly randomly. This is probably the most troublesome. Since saving alone can crash the game your forced to either gamble on the save crash (which seems to happen about 60% of the time) or pray you finish the mission before the game crashes.

4. During the actual gameplay. This is the least frequent but it happens and during a long mission it's pretty sucky.

So yeah, I'm going to wait on the campaign until you get the crashing sorted out. Your mod adds a lot of value to campaign and makes it a hell of a lot more fun so I don't want to dull that experience.

There are NO crash messages for these, it's simply a CTD. I am playing on a very powerful computer so I know it's not my hardware (I am able to run Armor Rush just fine & play the original campaign with no crashing).

Okay I just spent a couple hours in campaign. I can say that it doesn't crash too often to be playable. Mainly it crashes when starting missions although I did get 1 crash in game. I am simply saving frequently.

Overall I think this is a very forgivable thing because as far as I know there aren't any other large mods like this that even let you play campaign.. so no big deal.

I tried this and it didn't work. The only content that I got from both mods was the loading animation. I was hoping to load the graphical enhancements of Armored Rush and their new factions along with this mods new units for the vanilla factions but it didn't work at all.

This is a really great mod. I love the OP units because it keeps games from taking forever and one of the biggest problems with the vanilla game is that you would end up running out of money before the game was over and things would get quite boring. Now it's a race to get all your tech units first and really encourages going out and trying to establish more bases.

The downside is that the game frequently crashes in Skirmish. This can be remedied by playing in Network however since I can't pause in Network it's a disadvantage but not that big a deal.

Campaign missions also crash, I've only tried the first mission but it crashed pretty quickly.. Going to try again today and hopefully it won't crash.

Play network instead. You won't be able to pause the game but it's yet to crash for me even when playing a LAN game with my girlfriend and 4 bots. (With all factions in play).

You don't need the installer. Simply create a folder in the path Documents/Red Alert 3/Mods called "Science". Inside of that folder put the files Science_1.86.big Science_ENG.big and ScienceENG_1.86.skudef

I second this but I'd like to see it taken even further. This mod has already proven that units can be taken from other games and fit perfectly well. I'd like to see a ton more units from Kane's Wrath implemented and yeah the wolverine would be cool!

Guys who are having the crashing I suggest just doing network. You can still play with bots just fine in network match and it has yet to crash for me there. Probably some problem with the Allies cutscene in skirmish which causes the crash.

First I want to say that this is a fantastic mod. By far this is the best RA3 mod and I can't fathom the work that went into it and I am a Computer Engineer by trade! I gave this 10 stars and so I just want to point out that what follows is not me bashing the mod just giving a few opinions that I feel would (at least to me) improve this mod that I literally don't play without.

1. Let's talk about the Super Weapons. I have always really loved Super Weapons but they were pretty weak in the original game. I sort of like the approach here but the problem is I feel it's too extreme on both sides. The Soviet SW's are very OP and basically just end the game by obliterating everything. While this is cool once in a while I would like to be able to use these weapons without instantly ending the game. The Allied Weather Control weapon on the other hand seems WAY too weak compared to pretty much everything else. Not only is it annoying to have constant lightning strikes while it's charging but attacking an enemy base with it just isn't as amazing as I had expected given the power of the other factions weapons.

2. Please, please, PLEASE kill the range on the V4 rockets. I hate those things SO MUCH. I am the type of player who likes to build up my base with heavy defenses and bide my time. This is impossible against an enemy who can practically hit my base from their own base with V4 rockets, these things are way too strong and need a major range or damage nerf... I'm not sure if you improved them from the original game or it's just because I never really played much of the original game's skirmish mode but they really kill the fun for me. (Unless I'm playing as the Allies with the Harbringer who can quickly come to action and take them out).

3. Could you consider creating some type of under water defensive weapon? I find it annoying that if I don't build up a massive navy early on it will be impossible later because the AI will spam the water with units.

4. This is just a general request, could you perhaps create an upgrade for the ore trucks that allows them to continue to mine ore after the mine is exhausted, maybe at 50%? Maybe word it like "These upgraded ore trucks are able to scavenge every bit of ore out of mines one thought depleted".

Anyway I love the mod and those are just 4 points that would be great but regardless it's a joy to play and me and my girlfriend will continue to play together and have good time with it (we are able to play on LAN which is awesome). So far we can only beat easy enemies but hopefully medium before too long!
