This mod takes the modding jewel, Third Age Total War, and sets it in a mithril neckalce. The intriguing lore and setting of Middle-Earth gets mixed with the Total War mechanics and the result is just astonishing. The mod is wonderfully climatic, with a lot of small details that are making it enjoyable even after hours of gameplay. They're dozens of lore-friendly factions that are offering radically different playstyles, every armchair general will find an army to suit his needs! If you are searching for a trusty and enjoyable strategic game, then don't think twice, get the Medieval II with TATW and DaC!

TL;DR - This mod is just the incarnation of the Dark Souls in the Zone.

The gameplay may be extreme, but it is also rewarding - this isn't a mod for the casual Stalkers. The atmosphere and the general feel of the things is just amazing, the survival aspect of the game reaches here a whole new level, there is some micromanaging involved into the gameplay, but all those small changes are giving the game new depth.
I've played countless Stalker mods, but Misery outclasses most of them. This mod isn't perfect, it may still crash at random (XRay engine is living its own life), the difficult gameplay may be frustrating sometimes and you may still encounter some other problems, but generally speaking all new thins are of very high quality.
If you're looking for difficult game for hardcore STALKERS, then you're at the right place.

I'm commited PC gamer since 1994 when I got into first contact with games like DOOM, Wolfenstein 3D or Duke Nukem 3D. I've played countless games and mods.
This is the best mod I've ever played and one of the very few games, that I'm always returning to after some time. This applies also to the truly wonderful TATW submods.

I really pity the fact, that this jewel will never be ported into newer TW game where it could fully unfold its wings.
