Born in 1973, Gaming since 1981. Started my love affair with PC's back in 1983 when my Mom bought me a Tandy Color Computer II. With 4 colors on screen, a tape cassette drive and a 1200 page manual I was in love. After reading the manual 5 or 6 times & learning BASIC and some Assembly language I then began dabbling in modding PC games. My first real success came when I modded Sports Car GT with the "Spirit of '76" mod in which Image Space Inc. offered me a job. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons my dream of being a real game designer never got to be, but I gave them the assets I created and soon GT Legends was on the shelves. Over the years I've modded many games, usually for the purpose of making a game somewhat more realistic, hence my many GunMod's or Gunslinger's free Realism mods for games such as Jane's combat sims, Sims 2, Ghost Recon, Operation Flashpoint, etc. Currently looking for a dedicated modding team. Can do 3D, 2D, scripting, layout, design and more.

Vector Thrust

Game review

A few realism issues, but this is coming from someone who used to help develop combat flight sims in the late 1990's. Graphically, it's pretty good. I tend to go with the the "less is more" school when it comes to pryotechnics when the aircraft are destroyed. Not ever aircraft is going to burst into flames or explode, even with a direct missile hit.
I'm with holding a lot as this is an alpha, and very well along for an Alpha. Maybe add some ejecting pilots/parachutes (Didnt see any). More trailing smoke from battle damaged aircraft when hit near gas tanks etc. One thing I do want to point out now, most super sonic fighter aircraft only use afterburner when absolutely neccesary as afterburner very quickly will deplete an aircraft fuel reserves, not to mention that afterburner paints a huge radar cross section on your a/c and if a heat seeking missile like a sidewinder is heading your direction, no amount of chaff or flares will divert one if you have afterburner on. I do offer my help if you want it (I did say this in your video previews, but just incase you dont read those replies), but I am assuming tooo much. I'm sorry if I'm assuming you want to add more realism, only trying to help :) Great job so far!

Spring Up Harmony

Game review

A color themed physics game. Using color requirements the player has to hit the right colors with the selected color. Physics control the fall of the hit colors and the player catches these balls for points.

Pros:
Fun physics that feel realistic.
Color themes get game different.
Lot of variety.

Cons:
Difficulty can get very high in later stages.
Primary colors feel a tad bland.

Digitanks

Game review

A turn-based strategy game with computer tanks against rogue AI computer warriors. A vector-draw combat game of miniumal building but deep tactic strategys.
PROs:
Runs well on Mid range PCs.
Good tutorial teaches you all the ins and outs.
Smart effective skirmish AI.

Cons:
Campaign mode is really "tutorial mode". Based on one mission, the campaign teachs you how to play.
Graphics are pleasant, however the lighting effects can make it hard to see when attacking.
Needs a tech-tree or more choices. Enemy has same units as players, just different colors.

The Oil Blue

Game review

A unique simulation of running an oil rig operation.

Pros:
A very unique game type.
You learn about something most of us have never done.
Various scenerios keep the game fresh.
Runs very well on Mid-range PC.

Cons:
Tutorial is a little to fast and doesn't hold your hand long enough
to understand everything.
Game starts out pretty difficult.
Not enough descriptive information to know how well your doing.
The clock is annoying. Game time is way to short espcially when you
are first learning the ropes.
Some ofthe machines have very complex sequences and no help once tutorial is done. So if you forget how to run a machine your not going to win.
Game takes several tries / failures before you can even produce decent output.

Notes:
I like the premise and the graphics of the game. I would like to see this game mature more. Maybe add a more comprehensive tutorial and go lighter on the diffuculty when you first start playing.
More explanation into how to effectivily plan your day so you can output decent oil supply.
Get rid of the clock and use a "turn-based" way of limiting player use per day. Clock does nothing but cause player to get paniced when they cant figure something out.

Dead Meets Lead

Game review

A sword/gun isometric zombie hack-n-slash game set on a deserted island in a pirate age theme.

Pro:
Easy to learn.
Rewards are not too hard to get.
Runs smooth on high settings with mid-range PC.
Rage meter gets higher the more you kill.
Rage kill gets more powerful the higher it gets.

Cons:
Zombies get repeatitive.
Sometimes you get massly outnumbered.
Locations all have similair look/feel.
Not enough variety in weapons/maps or missions.
Some weapons you purchase are not useful and you have to buy them first to find out that some are too slow.

Star-Twine

Game review

A very unique strategy space game.
The player builds "guns" and energy asorbers on a thread. Enemy on one end of the thread, player on other. Whoever gets most energy and destroys the other wins.
Pros:
New concept of gameplay.
Runs well on low-medium PCs.
Easy to learn.
Nice sounds.

Cons:
Have to think differently to play this game. (Not neccesarily a bad thing)
Graphics are effective but simple.
Not much variety.

Mactabilis

Game review

A futuristic space top-down shump that uses a foreground and background machanic to avoid enemy fire.
Pros:
Runs well on medium-low PCs.
Unique foreground/background evasion techinique.
Decent storyline.
Explosion sounds are beefy.
Cons:
Controls take a little getting used to.
Gamepad controls are slow to respond. Mouse control seems to work best.
Graphics are a little bland.

Notes:
As with most shumps, there are a lot of things going on. Bullets, enemies, obstacles can become overwhelming.
