Don't mind me, I'm just covertly making a mod. No further progress until major progress is done.
A few years ago I went on a spree of asking Zero Hour modders for permission to use their assets in my own mod. Very few refused, while the rest agreed. The final list is larger than the 9 mods I listed here, and there are always publicly-available resources like Fritz' units.
Don't steal stuff from other mods and ask for permission instead, you would be delighted to find how permissible the other modders are. As long as you ask nicely, the worst they can do is say no.
The amount of mods I have permissions for is pretty expansive, I just need to actually continue development and make use of them.
Corollary: Don't ask for permission from mods that are newly-released or otherwise still in development. It's still rather rude (though not as rude as stealing units from a mod that has yet to make an official appearance).
