That's actually not that bad, keep up with your work and you will become a good mapper for sure or even level designer if you wish.
More experiments isn't a bad thing to do, so if you have different visions try to make them alive, good luck Jack.

Most likely not, but there could be addon that ports BM music to HL1.

Thank you JEEPY!

Although Office Complex demo had some issues, with a new patch everything should be fixed and in final release of mod everything will be polished as much as possible.

There's no date for patch yet, but it should improve everything that was a weak point in Office Complex demo.

I'm sorry for a late responding. If you want to launch the mod using original HL, you have to type -game bmc.

But after installing bmc folder into Half-Life and refreshing the Steam, you should be able to launch the game by searching Black Mesa: Classic in steam library.

Looks promising, interesting, unique and ambitions and I like it. There's not many mods like this nowadays so I'll be sure to follow it and wait until release. I wish you the best of things and good luck on your journey there.

Everyone got different taste, liking, job, life. We enjoy what we do, because we're trying to improve our beloved Half-Life 1, with new level design, effects, in-game mechanics and many other stuff. Sure, some people might not like idea of Demaking or making something new in HL1, but using remake material as a source, but we enjoy what we're doing. And if we really take such position, why would we ever need any mod? Why can't people just play Half-Life 1 and its official expansions, instead of mods? But, your position is fine too, not everyone might like this project or enjoy it.

We knew that some people might not enjoy our new vision for mod, so when SDK will be out, you or someone else could configure somethings and even bring HD textures, edit maps etc. As for flashlight, we're not sure if its even possible now, without Trinity Render, but we'll try our best to improve upon effects and visuals Half-Life got.

Our programmer ScriptedSnark wanted to add protection on GameUI.dll, so that other people can't stole his work without permission, and well, cause .dll file is "closed" it can't be freely opened, that causing anti-virus thinking that its some kind of virus, but at the end its not. But we're sorry for troubles that such protection caused.

As it was said in description, mod does work on HL25th anniversary update.

You just need to put bmc folder inside Half-Life folder, restart Steam and search for it in Library. You can use "Change Game" in HL1, sure. But it should work fine even without it.
Anyways, thanks for informing other people on how to run this demo, if they got some trouble.

Thank you for support!

As for Uncut "On a Rail" and Vent mod, we're not so sure. I think would better to ask our fans about that, and then decide on adding them or not.

As ScriptedSnark said, this is due of protection from rippers. Your PC and Anti-Virus just can't open .dll freely to see what is inside, and that causing the problem. If there were any virus we won't be able to publish demo as it is.

If you meant why idle animations doesn't play, then that's because of new sprint system, without disabeling idle animation it would work not as inteded, but you still can take a look at some of idle animations by pressing R, while they're realoded

Not from our team, if there's anyone who want to do that, they can, buy replacing textures in WAD files. Or once BM:C SDK released.

You might face some problems with downloading Black Mesa: Classic - "Office Complex" demo form ModDB. That's mostly due servers being down or checking on files. There's nothing we can do about it, besides wait.

HL25 updated broke some old mods code, which leads to them crashing, HL1's steam options you can change BETA version to steam_legacy, which should fix the problem with old demo. But upcoming BM:C demo wouldn't have such problem.

Greppy - - 26 comments @ Black Mesa: Classic, We've Got Hostiles demo ( OUTDATED )

In the next demo there will be document on how to install mod for steam version of game, but mostly "steam-legacy" one, since new updated broke alot of code parts.

All mistakes been taken seriously this time and everything should play smooth as possible. Sorry for not responding before, we don't have people working much on moddb questions, but we'll make sure that there will be no problems ever again.

The major problem with HL:HT were - no actual vision of the game itself, development were rushed and then "cancelled". At the moment we work on both projects, our main focus would be on Half-Life: Hostile Takeover, but new demos for Black Mesa: Classic will be released too, sooner or later. And we appreciate any feedback, so thanks for waiting. And stay tuned for future content related to both projects.
