We are trying to add to the list of COOP support maps. Look to see in the changelog the progress that has been made. Most of the shown maps come with bot support.

There are a number of new maps (more than 5) in the final release of 1.8 at the moment. There are also a number or reworked version of older maps.

Yes, the mod does work with the Origin version of the game.

Teamwork is pretty good for the most part when there are enough people on. Certainly better than CoD...

Yes. Most of the maps are compatible with COOP/SP.

Yes. Go to Multiplay -> Create Game -> select COOP -> set options for number of players etc on the first page & the team balance & CPU time directed to the bots (set at max) -> choose maps and play.

There is a torrent with all the files in one. Otherwise (because of upload limits they are separate).

They can be downloaded simultaneously so it isn't an issue, install them in order and away you go.

Remember that as the install overwrites the BF42.exe to install it in a different location (anywhere will do) and copy the battlegroup42 folder into the mods section of the install.

Looking at organising a server for it (on the Origin edition). Need to know how much interest there is first though. Put a post in the Battlelog forums about the mod so go give the mod props there to get more people and I'll see what happens with the server.

Try downloading the files from the links and installing that way.

Sounds like corrupted install. Try downloading again and reinstalling. Also ensure it is set to run as an administrator in the file settings (for BF42.exe). Windows 7 can be funny sometimes.

We are moving on to a new but related project. Not sure if details have been announced yet but they will be in due course.

Should be possible. The files here are .exe though so won't run on Mac. You can either try the torrent (which is the full extracted mod) or download the files on a Windows PC, install and copy the files over. No dedicated Mac version I'm afraid.

As per the below comment, COOP/Singleplayer available on most maps.

Except it would be pretty pointless on most maps as it would be too big. Perhaps it will come in a special objective map some day...

We don't endorse illegal copies of BF42.

The patches are all available on the web: Battlefield2.gamefront.com

Mac files are listed there as well including ones for 1.61b.

Requires BF1942 v1.61b (it is a very small patch from 1.6). Most maps are now Singleplayer compatible.

This does support singleplayer and multiplayer with bots or without.

BG42 doesn't need the installation files from the BF42. However we do strongly condone the illegal downloading of BF42 and the use of No-CD patches and the like. You will therefore likely not be able to play online unless you have a valid CD key from a paid for copy of BF42.

Files are too big for ModDB as 2 downloads hence the 5 parts (which you need all 5). Patch was released after launch (to fix a map crash bug) and it is easier to release a patch than to reupload the whole lot and reinstall the whole mod.

ModDB upload limit is 2.8GB. Mod files are over 4.5GB, so not in 1 file.

It also has to do with are main coders upload capacity, easier with 5 small files than 1/2 bigger ones.

PLEASE SEE THE PATCH NEWS. A NEW COPY HAS BEEN ADDED AND WILL NEED TO BE DOWNLOADED TO PLAY ONLINE.

THIS PATCH SHOULD FIX THE MAP CRASH ERRORS.

Links in the news about it, also in the download section and in the summary.
